The 35.6m motor yacht Catalina was delivered to her owners in 2024 by American shipyard Ocean Alexander. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Evan K Marshall, while Arrabito Naval Architects is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.64m beam and a 2.11m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 199 GT (Gross Tonnes).
She was completed at Ocean Alexander's Kaohsiung yard in Taiwan where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.
Exterior Design
Catalina belongs to the Ocean Alexander 35R, the flagship of the Revolution series that marked a clear shift in the yard's design language. Working with Evan K. Marshall and Arrabito Naval Architects, Ocean Alexander moved away from the traditional lines that had defined much of its earlier fleet and embraced a cleaner, more contemporary profile. The aim was ambitious: deliver the volume and features of a much larger superyacht without the heavy appearance that often comes with it.
That thinking is evident from every angle. The near-vertical bow carries the yacht's volume well forward, creating more usable interior space while giving Catalina a confident stance on the water. A broad sweep of dark glazing runs almost uninterrupted along the hull and superstructure, visually lowering the profile and filling the interior with natural light. The result is a yacht that looks sleek despite her generous 199GT volume.
The four-deck arrangement is particularly well handled. Rather than stacking one level directly on another, each deck steps naturally into the next through flowing curves and carefully shaped overhangs. The enclosed skylounge sits neatly within the profile instead of appearing added on, while the flybridge canopy continues the same sweeping lines above. It gives the yacht a cohesive look that feels far more European than traditional American.
Outside, Catalina offers a lovely balance between open entertaining areas and sheltered living spaces. The aft decks lead naturally towards the fold-down beach club, while the bridge deck provides another generous social space protected from the elements. Forward, a recessed lounge sits behind high bulwarks, creating a private retreat without interrupting the yacht's clean profile. Throughout, the design makes excellent use of glass, space and proportion, allowing a yacht of this size to feel lighter and more elegant than her dimensions suggest.
Interior Design
Evan K. Marshall designed the interior around the same principles that define the exterior: light, openness and comfortable long-term living. Floor-to-ceiling glazing draws daylight deep into the accommodation, while wide companionways and open sightlines prevent the substantial interior volume from ever feeling enclosed.
Catalina's owners were particularly drawn to the enclosed skylounge, which replaces the open bridge deck found on many yachts of this size. The result is a fully climate-controlled upper lounge that extends the yacht's living space in every season while maintaining easy access to the surrounding exterior decks. Together with the main salon below, it gives guests two completely different environments for relaxing, entertaining or spending time with family.
The main salon provides an inviting social space with generous seating and formal dining, while large windows keep the sea in constant view. Rather than relying on elaborate decoration, the design allows the proportions, natural light and careful detailing to define the atmosphere. Throughout the yacht, Marshall balances luxury with practicality, creating interiors that work equally well for extended cruising or entertaining larger groups.
Accommodation
Catalina accommodates up to 10 guests in five staterooms within her 199GT interior, with accommodation for up to five crew including the captain. The layout gives owners the flexibility expected of a modern private yacht while maintaining clear separation between guest and crew areas.
The owner's suite occupies the main deck, taking full advantage of the yacht's broad beam and generous hull volume. Four additional guest cabins on the lower deck provide comfortable accommodation for family and friends, each with ensuite facilities and the same bright, contemporary character found throughout the yacht.
Thoughtful crew planning has long been one of Ocean Alexander's strengths, and the Revolution series builds on that reputation. Separate circulation routes and well-planned working spaces allow the crew to move efficiently throughout the yacht while remaining largely out of sight, making Catalina equally suited to private family cruising or operation with a full professional crew.

Powered by twin diesel MAN (V12-1900) 1,900hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Catalina is capable of reaching a top speed of 31 knots, and comfortably cruises at 27 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Life aboard Catalina centres on a series of excellent social spaces spread across four decks. The enclosed skylounge creates a brilliant all-weather gathering space, while the bridge deck aft offers a relaxed outdoor setting for drinks, dining or simply enjoying the view.
