Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 3.2m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 292 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
Cornelia has the kind of profile that feels completely at ease in Monaco, Portofino, or anchored alone in a quiet bay. Designed by De Vries Lentsch, the 34.0m (111.7ft) yacht combines traditional long-range yacht proportions with a crisp, uncluttered superstructure and a pronounced bow that gives her a purposeful stance underway. The high bow, straight sheerline, and extended foredeck create a classic explorer look, while the white superstructure and teak detailing soften the overall feel.
Wide side decks and deep bulwarks give the yacht a secure, seaworthy character, and the bridge deck carries the clean, upright wheelhouse styling often associated with serious passagemakers rather than fashion-led Mediterranean yachts. Large rectangular windows across the main deck break up the hull sides and pull plenty of natural light into the interior spaces.
Outdoor living focuses on comfort rather than excess. The aft deck is arranged for open-air dining with uninterrupted sea views, while the bridge deck creates a more private lounge space with bar seating and relaxed sofas tucked beneath the hardtop overhang. Up on the foredeck, oversized sunpads turn the otherwise practical bow area into a quiet lounging spot while underway or at anchor.
Cornelia’s steel hull and aluminium superstructure were built to MCA and Lloyd’s Register standards, and the yacht’s low-consumption single-engine setup gives her a very different character from most yachts in this size range. At cruising speed she moves through the water with very little noise or vibration, helped further by a custom exhaust system developed specifically for the yacht.
Interior Design
Felix Buytendijk Yacht Design gave Cornelia an interior that feels warm, nautical, and quietly understated rather than overtly modern. Rich timber panelling runs throughout the yacht, balanced by pale fabrics, soft lighting, and large windows that stop the spaces from feeling heavy. The result is closer to a private long-range residence than a glossy charter platform.
The main salon has a calm, residential feel with deep sofas, carefully framed windows, and extensive wood detailing across the walls and ceilings. Natural light plays a major role here, particularly around the breakfast bar and lounge seating where the angled windows pull the coastline directly into the room. Chevron-pattern timber flooring adds texture and warmth without making the space feel overly formal.
A secondary skylounge creates a completely different atmosphere. This space works as a relaxed cocktail lounge with a compact bar, loose seating, and direct access to the exterior deck dining area. The layout gives guests several distinct social spaces rather than relying on a single oversized salon.
Cornelia’s 2022 refit refreshed much of the interior finish, including restored timber floors, new carpets in guest cabins, upgraded soft furnishings, restored deck ceiling panels, and updated AV and WiFi systems. Despite the upgrades, the yacht has kept its original character intact rather than chasing short-lived interior trends.
Accommodation
Cornelia accommodates up to 8 guests across four ensuite cabins, with an additional Pullman berth allowing space for a ninth guest when required.
The owner’s suite sits on the main deck and benefits from large windows, generous floor space, and a calm, private atmosphere away from the guest accommodation below. Warm timber furniture and soft neutral fabrics continue the yacht’s understated design approach, while the ensuite bathroom adds practical comfort for extended cruising.
On the lower deck, the VIP cabin features a queen-size bed and ensuite shower room, while two twin cabins provide flexible accommodation for family groups or charter guests. One twin cabin also includes a Pullman berth for additional sleeping capacity.
Crew accommodation supports up to six crew members, allowing Cornelia to operate comfortably as both a private cruising yacht and a commercially licensed Mediterranean charter yacht.
Performance & Capabilities
Motor yacht Cornelia is capable of reaching a top speed of 12 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 44,200 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,600 nautical miles at 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
