Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 7m beam and a 2.75m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 272 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Ligaya is a 38m (124.7ft) Ocean Pacifico motor yacht with naval architecture and exterior design by Diana Yacht Design. Her profile is traditional and well balanced, with a white hull and superstructure, long horizontal window bands, and a moderate sheer that keeps the lines steady from bow to stern.
The bow is upright with a defined stem and recessed anchoring gear, giving a clean forward section with minimal clutter. Stainless steel rails run full length, and the foredeck remains open, with space for sunpads and working gear set low into the deck.
Along the hull, a continuous band of rectangular windows sits just above the waterline, while larger, slightly rounded windows define the main and upper decks. These are grouped in a consistent rhythm, which gives the profile a calm, ordered look rather than a sharp or aggressive edge.
The aft section is tiered across multiple deck levels. The main deck aft provides a shaded dining space, while the upper deck extends this with a second, more open seating area. Above, the sundeck is arranged for leisure use, with built-in seating, sun loungers and a forward-positioned hot tub flanked by sunpads. A large sunshade spans part of this deck, so the space can shift between open and covered use.
The mast and communications array sit centrally above the superstructure in a compact cluster, keeping visual weight contained without disrupting the profile. Walkaround side decks connect all exterior zones, with solid bulwarks adding security while maintaining clear sightlines out.
Interior Design
The main deck is arranged as an open-plan space, where the saloon and dining area sit within a single continuous layout. This allows for flexible use, whether for formal dining or more relaxed group settings.
An upper saloon provides a second interior lounge, set up with seating and a bar. This space can also convert into a cinema room, giving an alternative environment away from the main deck.
The interior design by Kate Cannon follows a classic approach, with traditional materials and a layout that prioritises comfort and clear circulation between spaces.
Accommodation
Ligaya accommodates up to 10 guests in five suites. The layout includes a main deck owner’s cabin, along with four additional cabins comprising double and twin arrangements, all with en suite bathrooms.
An upper deck cabin adds flexibility to the arrangement, while the lower deck cabins provide separation between guest groups.
In addition to guest accommodation, there is space for up to 6 members of the owner’s staff or security team. Crew accommodation supports up to 7 crew, with dedicated access routes to maintain service efficiency and guest privacy.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (V12 3412 DITA) 611hp engines, motor yacht Ligaya is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 58,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 10 knots making her well capable of long range and transatlantic voyages.
