The 41.93m motor yacht Nela was delivered to her owners in 2013 by Italian shipyard Benetti. The yacht's refined interiors have been crafted by Zuretti, while her exteriors have been penned by Stefano Righini.

Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 9.05m beam and a 2.28m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 464 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2011. This was the third yacht built on the Crystal 140' design. Launched in December 2013 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Benetti's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in April 2014.

Exterior Design

The Benetti Nela is a tri-deck motor yacht, and her exterior presents a soft, flowing profile with curved superstructure lines and long, dark glazing bands that visually lower the height of the yacht while keeping a strong sense of volume. The image shows a forward-heavy stance with a high bow and clean foredeck, while the superstructure steps gently aft across three decks, creating usable outdoor layers without breaking the overall line.

Outdoor space is a clear priority, with each deck arranged for a different style of use, so the main deck aft and upper deck provide shaded dining and lounge areas, while the sundeck sits fully open with loungers, a wet bar, and flexible seating. A retractable shade system allows the sundeck to adapt through the day, and the space can shift from sunbathing to dining or evening use.

The foredeck adds another social zone, with large sunpads and a Jacuzzi positioned to face forward, while the aft section drops down to a swim platform and beach club, giving direct access to the water and to the 6.3m (20.8ft) tender. Circulation is clean and continuous, so guests can move easily between decks and along the walkaround side decks.

Interior Design

The interior of Nela is designed in collaboration with Stefano Righini and Zuretti, and it follows a light, open approach that uses glazing and neutral tones to maximise brightness and usable space.

The main salon is arranged with plush seating and a formal dining area, while large windows on both sides bring in natural light and maintain constant views outside. The layout avoids heavy divisions, so spaces flow naturally from lounge to dining, and this supports both private use and charter flexibility.

An upper salon adds a second interior living area, giving guests a quieter space to gather, while materials and finishes remain consistent throughout, with soft tones, clean lines, and a focus on comfort over visual weight. The design prioritises openness and usability, with seating, storage, and circulation arranged to support longer stays on board.

Accommodation

Nela accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins, with a layout that includes a full-beam master suite, two double cabins, one convertible cabin, and one twin cabin.

The master suite offers the largest volume on board, with a layout that supports extended stays, while the remaining cabins provide flexibility for different guest groups, including families or mixed charters. Each cabin follows the same light, neutral design approach seen in the main living areas, and all are supported by en suite facilities.

She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 12-cylinder 1,450hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Nela is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. With her 58,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
