Key Features

  • Flybridge with bar and dining
  • Range: 2,630 nautical miles cruising
  • Four boarding gates plus passerelle
  • Pop-up TV in main salon

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 21'6" beam and a 5'9" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 82 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Simaron is a 26m (85ft) motor yacht built in 1999 by the American shipyard Burger, known for their traditional craftsmanship, build quality, and seaworthy design. The exterior stays true to Burger’s classic aesthetic, with a varnished cap rail that adds a timeless polish to her profile.

On the bow, twin independent windlass systems with stainless steel anchors and polished anchor pockets reflect the builder’s attention to detail. Forward bench seating provides a sheltered spot to take in the surroundings, while a second, longer bench further aft creates a relaxed, tucked-away space ideal for quiet moments underway.

The flybridge is impressively laid out for a yacht of this size, with a large flush-deck configuration that maximises both functionality and comfort. It starts aft with a davit for the Nautica tender, alongside well-disguised safety equipment for ease of access. Dining space for eight includes bench seating and three freestanding wooden chairs. A U-shaped bar forward of this area features three stainless steel swivel stools and is kitted out with a fridge, dishwasher, ice maker, and wine cooler. To port, a barbecue chop and sink enhance its role as an outdoor galley.

Seating flows forward with more bench-style arrangements that convert to lounging areas, giving guests a choice of vantage points while cruising or at anchor. At the front of the flybridge, two benches mirror each other on port and starboard, positioned just behind the helm station, which includes a central captain’s chair flanked by two helm consoles. A shaded hardtop with an awning completes the setting, combining practicality with elegant design.

The cockpit area aft features a teak table with seating for six and access to a hydraulic passerelle through the port side. Four boarding gates - two to port, two to starboard - include midship and aft positions, with staircases integrated into the design. Teak steps lead down to the swim platform, finished in matching teak and fitted with a swim ladder and access to the engine room. It’s a functional space with plenty of clearance for tender operations.

Simaron's galley flows effortlessly into the salon, serving as both prep space and casual bar.

Interior Design

Simaron's interior was refreshed in 2023, with new carpet, an updated settee, and fresh furnishings including games table chairs in the main salon. The refit maintains her signature mix of warm wood panelling and leather-trimmed overheads, balancing classic ambiance with subtle modern updates.

The salon features a central round dining table that seats six and is flanked by elegant wood service hutches on either side. Opposite the lounge settee - a spacious and inviting spot for film nights, thanks to a pop-up TV - is a games table for two positioned by large salon windows. These windows flood the space with natural light, accentuating the open-plan feel.

A day head is conveniently located at the centre of the main deck. Starboard of it is a bar top equipped with an ice maker and wine fridge, ideal for entertaining. Port side leads into a fully equipped galley with a marble-finished U-shape counter. Appliances include a full-size American fridge, stove, dishwasher, and trash compactor. The galley serves a dual purpose, with bar stools on the salon side for casual dining or drinks.

The wheelhouse is another standout space, featuring a raised seating area where guests can join the captain or simply enjoy the view while underway. From here, there is direct access to both port and starboard side decks and a stairwell leading down to the flybridge. Forward access connects to the crew quarters. Navigation has been upgraded with Garmin electronics, and the Furuno radar system has been completely rebuilt.

Accommodation

Simaron offers accommodation for up to 6 guests in 3 suites comprising an owners cabin, 1 double cabin and 1 twin cabin. Guest accommodation is found below deck, accessed via a foyer that connects all three staterooms. The full-beam master suite is entered through wooden French doors and features a centreline king-size berth. The room includes his-and-hers heads - with a marble-finished shower in the starboard-side ensuite - as well as a vanity to port, two cedar-lined walk-in closets, and extensive drawer storage on both sides of the cabin and under the bed. A TV, personal fridge, and an original oil painting of Simaron above the bed add personal touches that speak to the owner’s care and attention.

To port off the foyer is the VIP cabin with a queen berth, cedar closet, ensuite head, and TV. To starboard, a twin cabin offers two single berths, closet space, an ensuite head, and its own TV.

Crew accommodations are located forward of the wheelhouse, accessed down a separate passage. There are two cabins providing sleeping quarters for up to three crew members, along with an ensuite head. The laundry area with washer and dryer is also tucked in here, keeping housekeeping discreetly out of sight.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12v 2000 M90) 1,350hp engines, motor yacht Simaron is capable of reaching a top speed of 23 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 5,300 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 875 nautical miles at 16 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

You can feel Simaron's pedigree in the teak, the varnish, and every detail on deck.
