Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and superstructure she features a 11.3m beam and a 3.5m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,506 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
Van Triumph, built in 1983, is a good example of early expedition-style yacht design, blending commercial influence with private yacht detailing. Her hull is long and angular, with a sharply raked bow and a broad, steady beam that gives her a capable, ocean-going stance. The white hull and blue bootstripe emphasise her length, while her superstructure steps up in clean, functional tiers toward a commanding bridge.
The yacht’s profile is defined by a tall, sculptural mast structure that rises above the bridge; a distinctive feature that gives Van Triumph a technical, almost military character. The upper decks are enclosed and well-protected, offering ample internal volume and shelter for extended voyages. Aft, a large open deck area provides space for tenders, cranes, and equipment.
She is built to a three-compartment standard and features a double hull with a 1m separation in the area of the engine and control rooms, providing exceptional structural safety and damage tolerance. Each side of the double hull is further divided into four watertight compartments, reflecting a focus on redundancy and survivability uncommon even among yachts of her class.
Her bridge and accommodation areas are bulletproof, designed for safe operation in regions where security concerns, including piracy, may arise.
Accommodation
Van Triumph offers accommodation for up to 17 guests in 11 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 14 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Yanmar (T260-ST) 1,400hp engines, motor yacht Van Triumph is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 260,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 15,000 nautical miles.
