50m Tankoa S501 Motor Yacht Vertige Sold

The 50-metre motor yacht Vertige has been sold, with Jeremy Comport and Jack Gradus of Ocean Independence representing the seller and Tom Roberts of Ocean Independence introducing the buyer. The yacht's last known asking price was €24,500,000.

Built by Italian shipyard Tankoa Yachts, Vertige was delivered in 2017 as the first Tankoa S501 and refitted in 2023. She features interior and exterior design by Francesco Paszkowski Design, in-house naval architecture, and a 496GT semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure.

The interior of the superyacht has been designed around a warm, contemporary palette of bleached teak, polished rosewood and leather finishes, creating a relaxed atmosphere throughout the guest spaces. Large windows flood the main saloon with natural light, where a Jerusalem stone feature wall and burnished brass detailing create a distinctive focal point. The refined residential styling seen aboard Vertige also carries through to newer Tankoa models such as the Tankoa T450.

Outdoor living is centred around expansive social spaces, with fold-down terraces extending the main deck while the sundeck features a spa pool, bar and teppanyaki grill beneath a hardtop. The motor yacht's transom opens to reveal a generous beach club complete with a gym and steam shower, creating a direct connection with the water. This exterior design earned the Tankoa S501 the 2017 World Yachts Trophies award for Best Exterior Design (38-50m), while Tankoa has continued to develop similar outdoor concepts on larger projects including the Tankoa T760 Apache.

Accommodation onboard the yacht is arranged for up to 12 guests in six cabins, led by a full-beam owner's suite complete with opening side terraces, a private study, walk-in wardrobe and a spacious ensuite. A VIP cabin, three double cabins and a flexible twin with an optional Pullman berth complete the guest accommodation, while separate quarters for a crew of 10 ensure smooth operation on longer voyages.

Powered by twin 1,000hp MTU diesel engines, Vertige reaches a top speed of 16 knots and cruises comfortably at 14 knots, with a range of 4,500 nautical miles. A semi-displacement aluminium hull and at-anchor stabilisers provide efficient long-range cruising and onboard comfort. Buyers looking for a larger Tankoa platform can also explore the Tankoa S701, which expands the shipyard's steel superyacht offering.
