72m Custom Tankoa T720 Fenice Superyacht Sold Ahead of 2030 Delivery

Tankoa Yachts has confirmed the sale of the 72m full-custom Tankoa T720 Fenice superyacht to an American owner, with delivery scheduled for 2030.

Developed as a bespoke project from the outset, the yacht features exterior design by Enrico Gobbi’s Team for Design, interiors by Giorgio Cassetta, and naval architecture by Tankoa Yachts.

Interior design has been entrusted to Giorgio Cassetta, giving the 72-meter project a clear creative lead on the inside, even if few design details have been disclosed at this stage. Tankoa has not released layout images, material choices, or styling specifics, so the interior of the motor yacht remains one of the more closely held parts of the project for now.

On the outside, T720 Fenice marks the first Tankoa project sold in collaboration with Enrico Gobbi’s Team for Design. That makes the sale notable not just for its scale, but also for the new design partnership behind it.

Tankoa says the yacht grew out of its earlier T680 Fenice project, before developing into what Claudio Corvino, Sales & Business Development Manager at Tankoa Yachts, described as something more sophisticated, with subtle detailing throughout. While no full design breakdown has yet been released, the shipyard has positioned the yacht as a full-custom build rather than a lightly modified platform. At 72 meters, it will become the second flagship in Tankoa’s fleet on delivery, alongside Casino Royale, previously known as SOLO. The yacht for sale is set to attend the 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show.

Tankoa has not published guest accommodation details for T720 Fenice, and the official announcement stops short of outlining cabin numbers or arrangement. That means the accommodation section remains relatively limited for now, in keeping with the early stage of the project and the shipyard’s decision not to release more specific onboard information.

Technical and performance details have also yet to be disclosed. Tankoa has confirmed the yacht’s 72-meter length and positioned the project as a complex, large-scale custom build, but there is no published information so far on propulsion, top speed, cruising speed, or range.

The project sprang from our T680 Fenice project, but it developed into something even more sophisticated with subtle details throughout. Thanks to the Owner and his team, who have been very much involved with the development of the project from day one and with very clear ideas.”

The sale also adds to Tankoa’s broader forward order book. According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, Tankoa now has 11 yachts either in build or on order. This includes several full-custom projects, notably the Tankoa 61m superyacht due for delivery in 2029, with exterior design by Horacio Bozzo Design and interiors by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, alongside the 51.5m Project Secret, scheduled for 2027, with exterior design by Philippe Briand, interiors by FM Architettura, and naval architecture by Vitruvius.
