On Deck
The Okean 57 immediately reads as a yacht made for Miami or the Bahamas – open, social, and ready for the heat. Starting at the stern, the sliding swim platform doubles as a tender lift and descends up to around 1.2 to 1.3 meters (3.9ft to 4.3ft) into the water. It has removable cradles and can support up to 450kg (992lb), and will be useful for swimming and tender operations.
The cockpit is shaded by a large sunshade supported by fixed poles, making it a much-needed refuge in tropical conditions. Pop-up cleats keep the deck flush when not moored, and the fold-down bulwarks dramatically expand the usable beam. These fold-out terraces turn the aft deck into an extended beach club and, with gates in place, add a sense of security for pets or children aboard.
Entertainment and comfort are clearly top priorities. There are two fridges, a bar setup to starboard (with removable stools stored nearby), and a convenient transom shower. A pop-up TV adds to the cockpit's leisure potential, and speakers are installed throughout the exterior zones. Naturally, there’s a built-in barbecue – practically mandatory on any Brazilian-built yacht.
The side decks lead forward to a foredeck made for lounging. There’s a massive sunpad with adjustable backrests, a hi-lo table, cup holders, pop-up lights, phone holders, and forward speakers. A retractable sunshade provides welcome cover, and the hatch beneath the sunpad connects directly to the forward stateroom for added ventilation.
A standout feature is the optional bow pool – a seawater-fed plunge pool that seats up to eight people and holds 2,300 liters. Anti-slip flooring and side supports make it safe and comfortable for use even in motion. Forward anchoring gear is neatly integrated, with the windlass and chain system easily accessible. The anchor retracts neatly to preserve the bow’s sleek lines, and there’s a freshwater shower to rinse off or clean the anchor chain.
Interior Accommodation
The main deck interior is centered around a convertible lounge space. Portside is a large L-shaped sofa and a hi-lo table that drops to form a nearly queen-sized bed when needed – great for napping or occasional guests. Though this isn’t a traditional enclosed guest cabin, the space can be partially closed off for privacy using pull-out shades.
Opposite the lounge is the galley, which features a two-burner electric cooktop, deep sink with cover for extra counter space, microwave, drawer fridge, pantry storage, and an ice maker. There’s also an additional fridge near the bar area. The use of space and light inside is striking – large windows, strong air conditioning, and a layout that flows easily from indoors to out. The helm area can be accessed from the galley space, with service access available for electronics if required.
A single head and shower sit forward of the saloon. Instead of the more common combined wet head, the owner opted for a split layout – a separate, full-height shower with a large bench on one side and the toilet compartment on the other. This allows multiple guests to use the facilities without waiting, and includes a rain shower, bidet-style setup, and storage options.
Forward lies the cabin, fitted with a queen-size bed and ample floor space. The berth feels longer than expected and is flanked by hanging lockers on both sides. Open shelving, a TV, and thoughtful layout details create a private, comfortable retreat suitable for longer stays. The cabin is ventilated, air-conditioned, and has direct access to the forward hatch, which can be opened for natural airflow.
Crew Accommodation
Under the aft cockpit seating is an optional crew space, accessed by lifting the cushion. The space runs full beam and has good headroom and ventilation. It can be air-conditioned and used as either an overnight cabin or for storage. In this case, the owner has chosen to use it for gear, but the layout and build quality allow flexibility depending on the cruising style. It’s a feature rooted in Brazilian yacht culture with the expectation of crew presence even on midsize yachts.
Performance
The engine room is accessed via a hatch in the cockpit and is notably spacious for a yacht of this size. Twin Volvo Penta IPS950s sit aft, with excellent access to both engines, the IPS drives and all service points. The layout includes sea strainers, exhausts, and fuel filters in clearly marked, reachable locations. The generator is positioned for straightforward access, and the Seakeeper stabilizer is mounted centrally between the engines. An electrical panel sits protected behind glass on the port side, and fire suppression is installed throughout.
The yacht can also be equipped with Volvo Penta IPS800s, depending on the owner’s preference. The Seakeeper enhances onboard comfort at anchor or underway, and the IPS joystick control at the helm makes it easy to handle, even for less experienced operators. Bow thruster, windlass, bilge systems, and freshwater pumps are all managed from the helm station, which includes twin Garmin displays and a C-Zone monitoring system.
In Summary
With nearly 18 meters in length and 100 square meters (1,080 square feet) of usable space, the Okean 57 has the style and utility in a way that feels made for coastal life. The expandable side decks are a signature touch, transforming the footprint at anchor into something closer to a terrace out on the water.
What sets this model apart, though, is its combination of features rarely found together on a yacht of this size. The seawater-fed plunge pool in the bow and the full-beam crew or cabin aft reflect a build philosophy that reflects the Brazilian spirit.
