- Tender garage opens to platform
- Retractable sunroof
- Main Deck Owner's Cabin
Design & Construction
Designed around a deep vee GRP hull and a carbon fibre superstructure she features a 6.59m beam and a 1.93m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 145 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the fifth yacht built on the Grande 27M design.
Exterior Design
Captain Morgan II presents a striking profile, and her exterior layout has been extensively customised to maximise both entertainment and functionality across three distinct deck areas.
At the aft, the cockpit is arranged with a U-shaped seating area for 8 to 10 guests, complete with a dropdown privacy screen. The teak decking underfoot continues up the moulded staircase to the flybridge. A custom cabinet to starboard replaces the original, housing an ice maker and an alkaline water dispenser. Mooring winches sit to port and starboard with foot pedals, and an Aventics joystick and thruster control are positioned conveniently to starboard.
The flybridge has a custom Kinedo jacuzzi from Italy, which is flanked by teak sun loungers and shaded by a retractable awning. To starboard is a bespoke propane BBQ station with stainless cooktop and generous storage. A U-shaped dining area for eight sits forward of the grill, opposite a sleek bar setup with stainless and teak stools, a sink, Kenyon BBQ, Isotherm fridge, and ice maker. The entire area is enclosed with removable panels, and there’s a retractable sunroof overhead. The upper helm features dual Simrad screens and two LCD MAN engine displays.
Forward, the bow is just as well appointed. A large U-shaped seating area with an electronic clamshell shade and a broad sunpad up front creates another inviting social zone.
Below, the tender garage opens up to form a broad swim platform and provides access to the jetski. Six underwater lights - on the transom and hull sides - add a dramatic evening effect.
Interior Design
The main salon feels airy and refined, with floor-to-ceiling windows flooding the space with natural light. A custom blue sectional sofa sits to port, matched by a love seat aft and two armchairs to starboard. The décor follows a soft, coastal palette with light wood flooring and walls, dark trim, and blue-and-white accents in the cushions and linens.
Just forward is the dining area with an eight-person table beneath a cylindrical light fixture. Built-in cabinetry - custom-made and unique to this 27 Metri - features on both port and starboard sides. The salon ceiling is recessed to add dimension and conceal the SONOS speakers and dropdown TV.
To port, the galley is large and professionally equipped. New LG refrigeration and freezer units (2025) and a deep freezer in the garage provide ample cold storage. A coffee bar area includes a Miele wine fridge and convection microwave. Across from it, a full-height cabinet stores dishware. The main cooking area features a Miele 3-burner cooktop and oven with range hood, a double Barazza sink, and a full-size Miele dishwasher. Light enters through a skylight and a window above the sink. Pocket doors allow the galley and dining area to be closed off for privacy.
The raised pilothouse, accessed via starboard steps, is fitted with three 18-inch Simrad displays that serve as navigation and systems monitors. She’s equipped with CMC hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, Aventics joystick, Humphree trim tabs, and CMC fin stabilisation. A port-side sofa offers a companion seat for two to three guests, and the pilothouse links directly to the flybridge via interior stairs.
Accommodation
Captain Morgan II sleeps 8 guests in 4 staterooms plus 4 crew in 2 cabins. The main-deck master is accessed forward on the main deck, past the stairways to the pilothouse and guest cabins. Upon entry, there’s a large walk-in wardrobe to port with a washer and dryer, and a built-in dresser to starboard. The sleeping space sits three steps down and feels immersed in the sea, thanks to the expansive hull windows. A floating navy-and-white bench spans the starboard side beneath the window, while a vanity/desk sits portside. Storage is abundant, with a hanging locker, a large drawer unit under the bed, and concealed TV above an oval dresser. The en-suite bathroom continues the light marble and dark accent scheme, with a double vanity and generous shower.
Below deck, there are four staterooms - two forward, two aft. The starboard forward cabin features a queen berth, nightstand, large window with porthole, en-suite bathroom with marble, stainless finishes, waterfall showerhead, and bench.
The port forward cabin is the only twin, otherwise identical in layout and finish. It includes custom linens, additional under-berth storage, and mirrored hull windows.
Aft, both staterooms are mirror images with king-size berths, massive hull windows at the head, cream and dark wood nightstands, large wardrobes, and smart storage throughout. Each en-suite has waterfall showers, marble vanities, and bench seating. TVs are subtly built into tinted glass panels, and the Sonos system is controlled via app. These cabins also received new carpeting in 2025.
The illuminated marble staircase leading to these rooms curves gracefully down from the main deck, with a storage area beneath for linens and supplies.
Crew quarters are accessed via the port side deck or engine room. Two cabins sleep four crew - one with a queen berth, the other with twin bunks - sharing a bathroom with a separate shower stall. Each bunk has a TV and locker. There’s a spacious mess area with a second Miele Professional washer and dryer, a microwave, table, and TV. A touchscreen monitor above the seating area provides vessel system data.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MAN (R V12) 1,900hp engines, motor yacht Captain Morgan II is capable of reaching a top speed of 27 knots, and comfortably cruises at 24 knots.
