Delivered in 2021, Captain Morgan II is a 89'11" motor yacht for sale built by Italian shipyard Azimut. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Stefano Righini, while Achille Salvagni is responsible for her interior design.

Key Features

  • Flybridge with jacuzzi
  • Spacious beach club
  • On-deck master suite
  • Salon with floor-to-ceiling windows

Design & Construction

Designed around a deep vee GRP hull and a carbon fibre superstructure she features a 21'7" beam and a 6'4" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 137 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

The stern is arranged as a practical beach club with a tender-garage interface and easy water access. It carries a jet ski, has a dedicated refrigerator for refreshments, plus general storage and rod storage. Underwater lighting is fitted, and the running gear has prop-speed protection on shafts and propellers.

The aft deck is built for sociable dining and docking control. A wide U-shaped seating area serves 8-10 around marble-topped tables, shaded by a retractable privacy curtain when moored stern-to. An aft docking station with joystick control sits to starboard alongside CMC hydraulic bow and stern thruster controls, letting the skipper step out through the starboard panoramic door and handle close-quarters work with confidence. Teak decking, updated audiovisual screens and an icemaker complete the space.

Forward, the bow combines a large sun pad with a U-shaped lounge and a marble cocktail table. Cup holders are integrated, with a clamshell bimini available for shade. Ground tackle and additional lockers sit ahead of the sun pad.

The flybridge is a major living area. It mirrors the main helm’s functionality with Simrad navigation, MAN engine controls, Humphree trim tabs and CMC thrusters at a second helm. Clear vinyl enclosures can be fitted for weather protection during docking. A retractable sunroof opens the central area, with teak underfoot and marble-topped tables. The bar module includes an icemaker, refrigerator and electric grill, plus a custom gas grill and a freezer aft. A jacuzzi sits aft of the bar and can be removed if a larger open deck is preferred. An awning extends at the touch of a button to shade the grill area, hot tub and after sun pad. Safety equipment for charter compliance is installed.

At water level, the tender garage and transom systems are designed to maximise stowage and launch space for toys and gear, supporting longer stays at anchor.

Interior Design

Natural light defines the main deck. Floor-to-ceiling side windows flood the salon, where a custom blue sectional sofa sits on light-toned flooring. A drop-down TV disappears when not in use. The aft doors stack wide to link salon and cockpit, or they can be positioned centrally to tune airflow and privacy.

Forward, the dining area features marble-topped tables and abundant built-in stowage. Port side, a custom cabinet holds dinnerware, placemats and themed settings; additional lockers to starboard and in the galley keep serviceware tidy. Finishes blend light and dark woods for a calm, beach-house feel.

Circulation and service are well managed. Pocket doors can close off the forward part of the main deck, while pantograph doors port and starboard let crew move outside without crossing guest zones. A central service space known as the dog house sits beneath the pilothouse, providing access to electronics and extra room for items like a refrigerator or freezer.

The day head on the main deck is finished in Carrara marble. The guest stair treads are illuminated, and an AV rack houses KVH equipment, Starlink-ready networking and a Sonos system.

The galley is set up for entertaining. It includes large LG stainless refrigerators with pull-out freezers, a wine cooler, a three-burner Miele cooktop, convection and conventional ovens, double sinks, and extensive overhead and under-counter stowage. Crew can reach bow or cockpit service points via the side doors without passing through guest spaces.

Up in the pilothouse, three 18-inch Simrad displays anchor a comprehensive suite with radar, chart plotter and onboard camera oversight through the Naviot system. MAN engine data, Humphree trim tabs, joystick docking and CMC stabilizer controls are grouped for easy reach. A primary helm chair and a companion double seat allow shared watchkeeping. Breaker panels and access to CMC systems are immediately adjacent.

Accommodation

Captain Morgan II accommodates guests across five staterooms, beginning with a full-beam master suite on the main deck. This cabin takes advantage of oversized windows that frame sweeping views, while a floating custom settee and a mirror-integrated TV help maintain a sense of openness. A vanity or working desk sits to port, complemented by nightstands, lamps and a generous double-door wardrobe. Storage is extensive, including hidden space beneath the berth large enough to take luggage or spares. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with twin basins and a rain shower, and a private washer-dryer is built into the suite to supplement the additional laundry facilities in the crew area.

On the lower deck, four guest cabins complete the arrangement. Two identical VIP suites lie port and starboard, each with a double berth, hanging wardrobe, mirror-integrated television and a spacious en-suite. A third guest cabin also carries a full double berth, adding flexibility when hosting couples. The fourth cabin is set with twin single berths arranged slightly apart in a V to open the floor area. Each has its own bathroom with shower, ensuring every guest enjoys private facilities. Together, these cabins allow the yacht to host up to 10 guests in comfort.

Crew accommodation is arranged forward and designed for practicality. A compact lounge with sofa, table and refrigerator sits at the centre, alongside a laundry station and a separate shower room. One cabin has over-under bunks with integrated televisions, while the captain’s quarters carries a double berth. The lounge sofa can be adapted as an extra berth, and provision exists for a folding Pullman if more sleeping capacity is required. Systems monitoring is linked to a Simrad screen so alarms and position data can be viewed from within the crew quarters.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MAN (CR V12) 12-cylinder 1,900hp engines, motor yacht Captain Morgan II is capable of reaching a top speed of 28 knots, and comfortably cruises at 24 knots. With her 2,510 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 360 nautical miles.
