Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 29'6" beam and a 8'3" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 2016 with the keel laid under the project name 'Ayla'. This was the seventh yacht built in the series. Launched in February 2018 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2018.
Exterior Design
Daisy D is a 49.98m (163.9ft) semi-displacement yacht built in aluminium with a highly efficient hard-chine hull. Her exterior is by Omega Architects, with flowing lines and long runs of dark laminated glazing that blend cleanly into the superstructure. The continuous windows are thermo-bonded for a smooth visual finish, giving the yacht a striking modern profile.
The deck plan spreads over four levels. The foredeck offers a private retreat for sunbathing, while the vast top-sun deck ranks among the largest for yachts of this length. Shaded areas on the upper deck add versatility, and the main deck’s wide aft terrace links directly with the saloon to create a 25-sqm entertaining space. At the stern, a beach club and bathing platform complete the connection to the water.
Interior Design
The interior, styled by Cristiano Gatto, follows a minimalist approach inspired by the work of designer Jean-Michel Frank. It carries a contemporary interpretation of New Deco, with clean lines, pale upholstery, and contrasting veneers. Owners had the opportunity to tailor the material and colour palette throughout, so the look is calm, balanced, and adaptable.
The main saloon spans 50sqm and is furnished in soft chenille fabrics by Dominique Kiefer. The sofa system slides apart to form an open lounge or comes together for a more formal arrangement. This space is paired with two Donghia club chairs for added flexibility. Just forward, a sound-proof screen separates the dining room, which is centred around a grand table for twelve. Low, leather-covered sideboards provide discreet storage and reinforce the sense of order.
Large windows on the main and upper decks ensure natural light throughout. Furnishings are low and angular, with accent tables finished in rich veneers and polished stainless steel trim. The palette is neutral but with enough texture to keep the rooms warm and inviting.
Accommodation
Accommodation is arranged for twelve guests in six cabins. The owner’s suite, positioned forward on the main deck, covers 47sqm. It includes a generous bathroom, a sleeping area that can be separated by a concealed TV partition, and mirrored finishes that enhance the sense of space.
On the lower deck, there is a full-beam VIP suite, two double cabins, and two twin cabins with sliding beds that can form doubles when required. Each cabin is finished with woven leather details, polished steel accents, and Canaletto walnut veneers.
Crew areas provide space for nine across five cabins.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M73L) 16-cylinder 3,862hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht Daisy D is capable of reaching a top speed of 23 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 18,175 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,200 nautical miles at an economic speed of 11 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
