Design & Construction
Designed around a fast displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 2.1m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 295 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the fifth yacht built on the ThirtySix design. Launched in May 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Mulder 's Mulder Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk yard in Netherlands where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in July 2022.
Exterior Design
Solemates is a 36m (118.1ft) Mulder ThirtySix built in aluminium, with exterior design by Claydon Reeves and naval architecture by Van Oossanen. The profile is defined by a straight bow, long horizontal lines and a restrained superstructure, which keeps the yacht visually low across her 8m (26.2ft) beam.
The plumb bow extends the waterline, which supports seakeeping and internal volume. Glazing runs in long bands across the main and upper decks, giving the profile a clean, continuous line.
The upper deck forms the main social area on board. It spans a large portion of the yacht’s length and includes a spa pool, bar, dining area and sun loungers within one open layout. A hardtop covers part of the deck, while a removable bimini provides shade over the remaining seating areas.
Forward, the foredeck is arranged as a private lounge with a U-shaped sofa and extended sunpad. This is the first Mulder ThirtySix to carry this configuration, giving the bow a defined guest space.
Aft, the main deck connects directly to the saloon through wide openings, while at water level the beach club includes a swim platform, shower and storage. The garage is designed for a 6.25m (20.5ft) Williams Dieseljet and two jet skis, with a roller launch system.
Interior Design
The interior uses oak and teak throughout, giving a warm and durable finish suited to extended use. The owner’s artwork, including Andy Warhol Marilyn Monroe prints, introduces colour against a neutral base.
The main deck is arranged with a clear split between saloon and dining, divided by a sit-at bar on the port side. This creates a natural transition between the two spaces and gives a casual gathering point away from the dining table.
Floor-to-ceiling glazing brings in strong natural light, and sliding doors open the dining area onto a balcony. This adds ventilation and changes how the space is used at anchor.
Joinery and detailing are finished to a high standard, including AV cabinetry and concealed air vents. The yacht uses a Heinen & Hopman air-conditioning system, and iPad controls manage lighting and entertainment. Oak flooring runs through the main living areas for durability.
Accommodation
Solemates accommodates 10 guests across five cabins, with six crew in three cabins.
The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck and spans the full beam. A skylight above the bed brings daylight into the centre of the cabin, and the layout includes strong storage for this size of yacht. The route from aft deck through to the owner’s en suite remains step-free.
Guest cabins on the lower deck use convertible beds, allowing each room to switch between twin and double arrangements. Power and entertainment connections are set up to work in either layout.
Crew accommodation includes three bunk cabins, each with its own shower and WC. The crew area also has a well-equipped galley and pantry, supporting extended cruising with a small team.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-18) 6-cylinder 1,136hp engines, motor yacht Solemates is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 28,600 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,200 nautical miles.
