Ninth Mulder ThirtySix Superyacht Launched Ahead of Spring 2026 Delivery

Mulder Shipyard has launched the ninth 36m Mulder ThirtySix superyacht during a ceremony at the yard’s Zoeterwoude facility in the Netherlands.

The Mulder ThirtySix yacht was christened on 4 March in the presence of her owners, their representatives, and members of the Mulder build team, marking a key step ahead of her scheduled delivery in spring 2026.

Traditional Christening Ceremony

The launch took place at Dock 1 at the Dutch shipyard, where the yacht was formally christened during a traditional ceremony. In keeping with maritime custom, a champagne bottle was broken against the hull to mark the occasion and wish safe passage for those who will sail aboard her.

Following the ceremony, the dock was gradually flooded with water from the nearby Oude Rijn river. The controlled opening of the dock’s water system allowed the vessel to float free for the first time, linking the modern launch process with a method long associated with the Netherlands’ shipbuilding heritage.

With the superyacht now afloat, work will move into the final stages of outfitting and commissioning. Sea trials are also scheduled before the yacht is handed over to her owners next spring.

Bespoke Interior by Vickers Studio

The interior of Hull 9 has been developed by Vickers Studio, introducing a bespoke environment shaped around the owner’s brief. The design focuses on creating a calm and practical living space suited to longer voyages, with careful consideration given to layout and onboard flow.

While full details of the interior styling have not yet been released, the studio’s work typically places emphasis on balanced proportions, natural materials, and a warm residential atmosphere. The aim is to provide a setting that remains comfortable for extended time on board while maintaining the level of finish associated with Northern European yacht construction.

Spacious Flybridge Designed for Social Use

Outdoor living areas also play a central role in the Mulder ThirtySix layout. Hull 9 features a generous open flybridge designed as a social space for owners and guests to gather while underway or at anchor.

The area on the superyacht has been planned for relaxed use, with space for dining, lounging, and enjoying panoramic views. For many owners in this size range, the flybridge often becomes one of the most used areas of the yacht, particularly during time spent cruising in warmer climates.

Hull 9 of the Mulder ThirtySix series has been commissioned by experienced owners who plan to use the yacht for extended cruising. The platform is designed to support comfortable travel over longer distances while maintaining the refined onboard lifestyle expected from the Dutch builder’s flagship model.

According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the Mulder ThirtySix is set to attend the Palm Beach International Boat Show 2026.

Smaller Mulder Models

The Mulder ThirtySix sits at the top of the shipyard’s current production lineup, with several smaller aluminum models positioned below it. Closest in scale is the 22.5m Mulder Favorite 2200, a semi-displacement flybridge yacht designed for owner-operated cruising. With accommodation for up to eight guests across three cabins and top speeds exceeding 22 knots, the 2200 focuses on practical long-range cruising in a more compact format.

A different approach appears in the 21.7m Mulder Favorite Fast. This aluminum planing yacht is designed around performance, capable of speeds above 38 knots. The layout includes three cabins for six guests and space for two crew. Compared with the ThirtySix, the Favorite Fast prioritizes speed and day cruising rather than extended voyages.

At the entry point of the range sits the 15.6m Mulder Favorite 1500. Originally developed for private use by the Mulder family, the aluminum cruiser features modern-classic styling with a straight bow and sloping transom. With two cabins for four guests and an open cockpit with an electrically opening roof, the model offers a compact introduction to the brand.
