First 60m Baglietto T60 Hits the Water as Yard’s Largest Yacht Yet

The first Baglietto T60 superyacht has entered the water at Baglietto’s La Spezia facility, becoming the yard’s largest build to date at approximately 1,100 gross tons.

Exterior design is by Francesco Paszkowski Design, with interiors developed in collaboration with Margherita Casprini, while the naval platform builds on the proven Baglietto T52 series.

The ceremony brought together the owner, shipyard leadership, local authorities, and members of the community, including students taking part in a sea-focused initiative linked to World Boating Day.

Evolving the Baglietto design language

The T60 builds on the visual language established by the T52, with a refined exterior profile that introduces softer lines and lighter side structures. These are integrated into the overhangs to reduce visual mass, giving the yacht a more streamlined presence despite its size.

A continuous black glass band runs along the hull, incorporating the portholes and reinforcing a design detail that has become a recognizable feature across recent Baglietto projects. This element emphasizes horizontal flow and visually elongates the yacht.

Forward on the main deck, the garage is configured to house a 23-foot tender along with jet skis and additional watercraft, while a touch-and-go helipad is positioned at the bow. The wheelhouse is located on the sun deck, freeing up lower decks for guest and owner use and creating additional exterior lounging and dining areas at the top of the yacht.

Rethinking onboard space and flow

At the core of the T60’s design is a clear shift in how onboard space is arranged. The layout of the superyacht reduces separation between interior and exterior areas, with full-height glazing across the main and upper decks that can be opened almost entirely. This creates a direct connection to the water and gives the main living areas greater flexibility throughout the day.

The beach club, main salon, and dining area are arranged as a single, multi-level environment centered around the stern. A 60-square-meter beach lounge sits at the water’s edge, connected to the main salon via an open staircase. This arrangement creates a large, continuous social space that can shift between open-air and enclosed settings depending on conditions.

The dining area, enclosed by fully opening glass walls, extends this concept further, linking interior dining directly with the exterior deck. The result is a layout that prioritizes movement and visibility across spaces rather than clearly defined boundaries.

Full-deck owner’s suite

One of the defining features of the T60 is the decision to dedicate the entire upper deck to the owner. This approach creates a fully private level, separated from guest areas and designed as a self-contained space.

Accessed via a central lobby with a glass elevator, the owner’s suite includes a private office, walk-in wardrobe, and a bathroom with separate facilities. The arrangement extends outdoors, with a private pool positioned forward and a lounge area aft that connects directly to the interior through retractable glass doors.

Guest accommodation is arranged across five cabins, with four located on the main deck, including two VIP suites, and a fifth cabin positioned on the lower deck. This layout keeps the majority of guest spaces on a single level with direct access to the motor yacht’s primary living areas.

Additional features on the lower deck include a massage room and a fully equipped galley, alongside crew quarters designed to accommodate up to 13 crew members. Technical and service areas are located on the under-lower deck, where storage, refrigeration, and operational systems are housed out of sight.

Proven platform with twin Caterpillar power

The T60 is powered by twin Caterpillar 3512 engines, delivering a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. The platform follows a steel hull and aluminum superstructure configuration, in line with the yard’s approach to large displacement yachts.

This setup supports long-range cruising while maintaining onboard comfort and stability, aligning with the yacht’s focus on extended time at sea and flexible living arrangements.

Growth continues across Baglietto’s model range

The T60 builds directly on the success of the T52, extending the concept into a larger format while introducing new spatial solutions and layout decisions. It also arrives as part of a wider period of activity for the shipyard, with additional orders across the T60, T54, and DOM 133 models, according to YachtBuyer MarketWatch - the largest yacht database in the world.

With delivery of the first unit expected later this year, the T60 sets a new benchmark within Baglietto’s portfolio. More broadly, it signals a continued move toward higher-volume yachts, where design, layout, and onboard experience are being reworked to suit changing owner expectations.
