Positioned below 500 GT, the model extends the DOM platform into a larger size bracket while retaining the series’ residential focus and emphasis on onboard livability.
Baglietto’s Chief Commercial Officer, Fabio Ermetto, describes the DOM155 as a direct response to sustained owner feedback. Interest in larger dimensions within the DOM family has been a consistent theme following the success of the 35m and 41m models, with owners seeking additional space without stepping into higher gross tonnage categories.
A scaled-up DOM aesthetic from Stefano Vafiadis
The exterior styling of the DOM155 has been developed by long-time Baglietto collaborator Stefano Vafiadis, who has refined the established DOM profile rather than reinventing it. The yacht carries forward the Roman domus concept that underpins the series, translating it into a longer hull with tauter volumes and more pronounced horizontal lines.
Vafiadis describes the design as clean and sculptural, with longitudinal cuts and restrained surfaces inspired by automotive design. The profile remains purposeful without excessive visual weight, maintaining a low, balanced stance across all decks. Extensive glazing plays a central role in shaping the motor yacht’s character, reinforcing visual length while supporting stronger connections between interior and exterior spaces.
Main deck living centers on light and flow
The main deck has been arranged to prioritize flow and natural light. Fully opening glass doors connect the aft deck directly to the main saloon, creating a continuous indoor-outdoor living area. A dining table for ten guests is positioned aft within the saloon, placing formal dining close to the exterior while keeping sightlines open toward the stern.
Forward on the main deck, the full-beam owner’s suite forms one of the defining features of the DOM155’s interior layout. The suite includes a private office with walk-in wardrobe, a master stateroom furnished with a California king-size bed, and a spacious his-and-hers bathroom arranged around a walk-through shower. The placement and proportions of the suite reflect the yacht’s owner-focused brief, providing privacy and scale typically associated with larger superyachts.
Guest accommodation is primarily located on the lower deck, where four ensuite staterooms are arranged to provide consistent volume and comfort. An optional fifth guest cabin can be added on the upper deck for owners who prioritize additional flexibility for family or guests. Crew quarters are positioned forward and provide accommodation for eight crew across four ensuite cabins, supported by a dedicated crew mess and laundry facilities.
Panoramic upper deck areas
The upper deck saloon is designed to function as a relaxed secondary living space, opening on three sides to maximize views, light, and natural ventilation. This area can be configured for informal lounging or media use, depending on owner preference.
Forward of the wheelhouse, a private lounge provides an additional viewpoint over the bow. Nearby, a technical foredeck area houses the tender and a personal watercraft, keeping operational equipment discreetly separated from guest spaces.
Above, the 130-square-meter sundeck offers uninterrupted 360-degree views and is arranged as a social hub. The layout includes sunpads, a conversation lounge, and an infinity pool with an integrated bar, positioning the space for both daytime relaxation and evening use.
A stern designed around wellness
The stern is a central design focus of the DOM155 and represents one of the model’s most distinctive features. Conceived as a multifunctional wellness and relaxation zone, the area is organized around a panoramic infinity pool positioned at the aft end of the main deck.
Twin staircases rise from the pool area to the aft cockpit above. On the port side, the staircase is engineered to lower, providing technical access to the beach club below. The beach club itself can be configured in different ways, including as a sea-level spa and gym with direct water views via a fold-down shell door, or as an additional tender garage for owners who prioritize watersports capability.
At the waterline, a large transformer platform supports swimming, boarding, and dock access, reinforcing the yacht’s focus on active use at anchor.
Aluminum construction and sub-500 GT focus
As with the Baglietto DOM133, the DOM155 will be built in aluminum, with both hull and superstructure using the lightweight material. This choice supports a shallow draft, improved performance, and a high degree of customization during the build process. Baglietto notes that these characteristics are particularly relevant for the American market, where access to shallow cruising grounds and owner-driven customization remain key priorities.
Despite her increased length and expanded deck areas, the DOM155 has been carefully engineered to remain below the 500 GT threshold. This allows owners to benefit from larger volumes and amenities while maintaining operational flexibility within the sub-500 GT segment.
The DOM155 will be powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, delivering a top speed of 16 knots. The propulsion package aligns with the yacht’s displacement profile, prioritizing efficiency and range over outright speed while supporting comfortable long-distance cruising.
Current build activity across the Baglietto fleet
The DOM155 joins a busy order book at Baglietto, which, according to Yachtbuyer MarketWatch - the largest yacht database in the world - currently has 20 yachts either in build or on order across multiple series. Alongside the DOM range, activity includes units from the yard’s steel displacement lineup, notably the T52 and T54 platforms.
The 52m Baglietto T52 has proven particularly significant for the brand, securing multiple international awards and recognition for its layout efficiency, exterior proportions, and sub-500 GT displacement credentials. Built in steel with an aluminum superstructure, the model accommodates up to 12 guests across five cabins and reaches a top speed of 16 knots, positioning it squarely within Baglietto’s long-range cruising portfolio.
The first DOM155 is scheduled for delivery in early 2029. With this launch, Baglietto extends the DOM concept into a new flagship role, maintaining the series’ core design principles while scaling them for a larger, more demanding owner profile.
