Designed to succeed the long-running Greenline 48, the new 50-footer is already well advanced in construction, with the first hull - a Fly version - scheduled to launch later this summer in Portorož, Slovenia.
Two Configurations, One Cruising Philosophy
While aimed at the same cruising market as its predecessor, the Greenline 50 introduces a larger platform, updated styling, expanded accommodation options and greater flexibility throughout the layout. Alongside the Fly model currently in build, Greenline will also offer a Coupe variant.
The lower-profile Coupe replaces the flybridge with an enclosed superstructure, creating additional roof space for solar panels while retaining the brand's focus on efficient cruising and onboard autonomy. Available with hybrid or conventional diesel propulsion, the Greenline 50 joins a growing lineup of solar-assisted cruising yachts that have become a defining part of the Greenline range.
The Design Behind the New Greenline 50
Rather than reinventing one of its most successful models, Greenline has focused on refining the qualities that made the 48 a long-running favorite among cruising owners. The new yacht retains familiar features including tall bulwarks, expansive glazing and a single-level main deck that creates an uninterrupted flow between the cockpit and saloon, while introducing a broader choice of finishes, materials and onboard equipment.
Flexibility has also been increased throughout the layout. The Greenline 50 offers three cabins and up to three bathrooms, with guest accommodations configurable as either twin or double arrangements. A redesigned aft section provides owners with a choice between a large storage space for tenders and cruising gear or a dedicated crew cabin. In the storage configuration, the aft seating lifts to create direct access from the swim platform, creating a practical utility area suited to extended cruising.
[Greenline’s new models] have introduced a new awareness of the way spaces on board add value to the boating experience and spurred us to ever greater efforts in terms of interior finish. It was high time that our mid-range boat received this treatment, and so the Greenline 50 was born.”
- Alessandro Lorenzon, Global Business Director and Chief Experience Officer at Greenline
According to Greenline owner Vladimir Zinchenko, the company's philosophy has always been to evolve proven platforms gradually, with the Greenline 50 intended to remain a core model in the range for years to come.
Hybrid Power and Extended Independence
Alternative propulsion remains a core part of the Greenline proposition. The Greenline 50 motor yacht will be available with the builder's 6G hybrid propulsion system or conventional diesel engines. Supported by onboard batteries and solar panels, the system is designed to power hotel loads on electric energy for extended periods, reducing reliance on generators while at anchor.
The first flybridge yacht will feature a generous upper deck with a secondary helm station, dining area, lounge seating, wet bar and refrigerator. Regardless of configuration, both Fly and Coupe variants continue Greenline's emphasis on practical long-range cruising, energy efficiency and straightforward owner operation.
Where the Greenline 50 Fits in the Range
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, the new Greenline 50 will sit above the recently introduced 13.5m Greenline 42 and below the 18.2m Greenline 58 Fly and 58 Coupe, creating a clear progression through the range.
For owners moving up from the Greenline 42, the new model delivers a notable increase in volume and flexibility. While the 42 focuses on efficient owner-operation and two-cabin cruising, the Greenline 50 introduces a three-cabin layout, additional accommodation options and a more versatile aft section that can be configured either as a large storage area or crew cabin. The larger platform also places it closer to the long-distance cruising capabilities associated with Greenline's upper-range models.
The model also builds on strengths established by the Greenline 45 Fly and Greenline 45 Coupe, including hybrid propulsion options, practical single-level living and adaptable interior arrangements. Buyers familiar with the 45 series will find a similar emphasis on flexibility, but with additional space, expanded customization and greater storage capacity. Above it, the Greenline 58 Fly and Greenline 58 Coupe continue as the brand's largest cruising yachts, making the new 50 a compelling middle ground for owners seeking many of the flagship features in a more manageable package.
