On Deck
The Horizon FD75 makes a great first impression with its oversized swim platform and broad 6.2m (20ft) beam. At the stern, the platform features a hi-lo mechanism, raw and freshwater washdowns, a transom shower, and dual city water hookups - one direct, one through the watermaker. Corner-mounted staples make tender handling easier, and cleats are tucked out of the way, keeping the beach club space safe and clutter-free. A lazarette in the transom adds useful toy and fender storage.
Access to the crew quarters and engine room is provided via the transom and a secondary entrance in the cockpit. The cockpit itself feels expansive thanks to the open layout and lack of a bar structure. An L-shaped settee for eight surrounds a hi-lo table. Side boarding doors on both sides and a starboard-side proper walkway reflect the yacht's asymmetrical design, giving more room inside while retaining safe deck access.
Moving forward on the starboard side, the oversized windows dominate the profile, while hefty cleats and angled cupholders add to the yacht’s practical, slightly overbuilt charm. Forward, the bow is a standout social zone. The table isn’t hi-lo by default but could easily be adapted. Backrests flip flat to form a sunpad, while removable sunshade poles allow full coverage when needed. Speakers, pop-up lights, and rubber-lined deck panels contribute to a properly equipped foredeck.
The anchor setup is traditional - a stainless steel plow with foot controls and a central windlass. The deep chain locker includes molded steps and is large enough to store fenders. There’s even a forward shore power hookup - ideal for bow-in dockage.
The flybridge is a major highlight. It’s semi-enclosed, with solid forward glazing and two fixed side windows, protecting against wind without obstructing the view. A hatch forward brings in fresh air, while AC and heating allow year-round use. Visibility is superb from the Juliet balconies flanking either side.
On this upper deck, you’ll find twin helm chairs and full controls including CZone yacht management and Humphree stabilizer interfaces. There are two distinct entertainment areas: a dining table with barstools and bar setup aft to port, and a second bar with deep freezer and propane BBQ further back. The flybridge can hold a 4.3m-4.6m (14-15ft) tender or a smaller tender and jet ski combo, supported by a Steelhead Marine 680kg (1500lbs) crane. A flybridge day head and thoughtful touches like three sunshade poles and protected sockets round out the outdoor offering.
Interior Accommodation
Stepping through the weather door, the FD75 opens up into a bright, voluminous salon. Thanks to the asymmetric deck layout, the interior feels much wider than its 22.86m (75ft) length suggests. Full-height windows and tasteful natural stone walls keep the vibe modern and airy.
The galley, located starboard, features stone countertops, Sub-Zero drawer fridges, freezer drawers, trash compactor, and a full suite of KitchenAid appliances including induction cooktop, microwave, and oven. There's generous drawer and pantry storage throughout, including smart touches like a garbage disposal with an offset faucet control.
Opposite the galley sits a breakfast nook that can expand to seat six, cleverly converting to a buffet or indoor dining setup. Chairs from the aft deck can be reused here.
The salon includes a spacious settee with ottomans, a swivel-mounted TV, and a large wine cooler with stemware display. Dual access cabinetry and mirrored lighting bring extra elegance to the design.
The raised pilot house provides interior helm controls and offers direct connection to both the flybridge and owner’s suite. It’s finished with carbon-style trim, large Garmin displays, twin VHF radios, and integrated controls for stabilizers, thrusters, and watermaker. The CZone system includes modes like anchor, night cruise, and bell. Storage, cupholders, and a phone stand make it all very slick.
Owner's Cabin
Remarkably positioned forward thanks to the FD series’ volume-forward design, the full-beam owner’s suite feels more like a penthouse. A king-size bed is flanked by vast windows with openable portholes. Hanging lockers, drawer sets, a desk/vanity, and a separate dressing area with cedar-lined cabinetry and a safe give the suite excellent functionality.
There’s also direct access to a service space beneath, reached via hatch and ladder, housing breaker panels, Victron systems, hydraulic gear, and C-Zone hardware. This electrical room is smartly organized and easily accessible from both the suite and guest cabins.
The ensuite bathroom continues the spacious theme. It includes a walk-in, one-and-a-half-person shower with an integrated, removable drain cover for easier cleaning. Dual oversized sinks, backlit anti-fog mirrors with color temperature control, and hidden toilet fittings complete the package.
Guest Accommodation
Guest accommodation is split across the lower deck and accessed via a separate stairwell. To starboard is a convertible twin cabin with slide-together berths, storage underneath, built-in TV and soundbar, hanging locker, and openable porthole. The portside twin cabin features fixed berths, more drawer space, a hidden TV, and a hanging locker. Between them sits a shared bathroom with a large shower, vanity, backlit mirror, and excellent natural light from the window.
Aft of the guest cabins is a generous VIP cabin that rivals the owner’s suite in size. It features a queen bed, TV and AV storage, desk/vanity, hanging lockers, drawers, and a spacious ensuite with a two-person shower and additional porthole.
Laundry facilities include a stacked washer-dryer located in the guest passageway.
Crew Accommodation
The two-berth crew quarters are aft, with access from both the transom and the cockpit. This area includes twin bunks, a compact galley with microwave and fridge, shelving, hanging lockers, and dedicated storage. There’s a surprisingly good amount of space/privacy here, making it suitable for a couple of crew.
The crew head includes a sink, medicine cabinet, mirror, exposed storage, and a fully enclosed shower. The area could double as an overflow cabin or serve as a beach club day head thanks to its smart location.
Performance
Accessed from the transom, the engine room is spacious, well-ventilated, and brightly lit with LED backlighting beneath the engines. The FD75 is powered by twin CAT C-18 engines rated at 1,150hp each, driving V-drives with straight shafts. Cruising speed is 17 knots, top speed 19.5 knots, and long-range performance sits at 1,800nm at 8.3 knots.
Inside the engine room, you’ll find the two Caterpillar C18s, twin generators, mufflers, ZF transmissions, watermaker, Dometic Spot Zero, and a fuel manifold. Fuel filters and seacocks are easy to access. The hydraulic reservoir, compressor, fire suppression systems, and manual engine start controls are all neatly labeled and arranged. It's a true stand-up space with enough room to work comfortably.
In Summary
The Horizon FD75 has sheer volume, a smart asymmetric layout, and delivers megayacht-style flexibility in a 23m footprint. Whether operated with crew or run privately, the FD75 is big on features, thoughtful in its detailing, and easy to imagine living aboard for extended periods.
