Due to be delivered in 2026, Aura I is a 50m motor yacht built by Italian shipyard Mangusta. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Lobanov Design, while Mangusta is responsible for her naval architecture.
Key Features
- 50m (164ft) Mangusta 165 REV
- 35-knot top speed performance
- 92m² (990ft²) split-level master suite
- 6.0m (19.7ft) tender garage
Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 9.2m beam and a 2m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the fourth yacht built on the Mangusta 165 REV design. Launched in February 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
The Mangusta 165 REV Aura I measures 50.0m (164.0ft) and presents a low, elongated Maxi Open profile, with a sharp, raked bow and a clean, flowing sheer line that runs uninterrupted from bow to stern. The hull is defined by a strong black glazing band that stretches across the superstructure, while angular window cut-outs along the hull sides add contrast and break up the length.
The superstructure sits low and swept back, and this keeps the yacht visually close to the water, while the dark upper section merges into the glazing to create a continuous, streamlined silhouette. The radar arch rises subtly from the aft section, integrated into the design rather than sitting as a separate structure.
Forward, the bow is used as a dedicated guest space, with a recessed lounge area that includes sofas, sunpads, and a Jacuzzi, while maintaining clear walkaround side decks. Aft, the yacht opens into a large beach club area at water level, and this space is directly connected to a side-access garage designed to handle a 6.0m (19.7ft) tender and two jet skis.
The sundeck adds another social layer, with a bar and lounge areas set into the low-profile structure, and throughout the exterior there is a clear focus on keeping lines clean while integrating usable deck space.
Interior Design
The interior of Aura I follows a contemporary, open-plan approach, developed by Overmarine in collaboration with architect Marcello Pianosi, and the design centres on light, volume, and connection to the exterior.
Full-height glazing runs along the main salon, and this allows natural light to move through the space while maintaining direct views out to sea. Fold-down balconies on either side extend the usable width of the salon, so the interior and exterior areas link directly without physical barriers.
Accommodation
Aura I accommodates guests across six cabins, including a main deck master suite and five guest cabins on the lower deck. The master suite is a key feature, spanning 92m² (990ft²) across two levels, and this split-level design integrates the space into the hull while increasing usable volume.
On the lower deck, the guest accommodation includes a full-beam VIP cabin along with additional guest cabins, all designed to maintain consistent styling and layout. The arrangement supports extended stays while keeping circulation straightforward.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 4 x diesel MTU (16V 2000 M96L) 2,000hp engines, motor yacht Aura I is capable of reaching a top speed of 34 knots, and comfortably cruises at 30 knots. She has a maximum range of 650 nautical miles. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
