Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.9m beam and a 2.25m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 299 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2007. Launched in October 2008 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Benetti's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in March 2009.

Exterior Design

The 36.6m (120ft) Giorgia I belongs to Benetti’s Classic 120 series, with Stefano Righini responsible for the exterior styling. Her profile blends traditional tri-deck proportions with softer contemporary detailing, so the yacht carries substantial internal volume without looking heavy underway. The white GRP hull and superstructure keep the lines clean and understated, while dark glazing bands and polished stainless trim add contrast across the profile.

Righini’s use of large rectangular hull ports and elongated superstructure glazing plays a major role in the yacht’s appearance. The dark window bands stretch cleanly along the main and upper decks, breaking up the visual mass of the yacht while also drawing far more natural light into the guest spaces. Around the main deck, the cutaway gunwale sections open sightlines directly toward the water, which gives the saloon a stronger connection to the surroundings than many yachts from this period.

The tri-deck superstructure slopes gradually toward the bow, maintaining a smooth, cohesive line from the sundeck down to the foredeck. The raised pilothouse arrangement gives the yacht a balanced stance, while the upper deck overhangs create sheltered exterior spaces across each level. Wide side decks run the full length of the yacht, making movement around the exterior straightforward both underway and at anchor.

The aft main deck is arranged as an alfresco dining area protected beneath the bridge deck above, while the skylounge aft deck adds another open-air lounge and dining space connected directly to the upper saloon through sliding glass doors. Higher again, the sundeck forms the yacht’s main outdoor social area, with a Jacuzzi, sunpads, loungers, sit-up wet bar and barbecue spread beneath a partial hardtop.

At the stern, Giorgia I incorporates a hydraulic transom door that folds down to create a beach club platform at the water’s edge. The arrangement also provides access to the tender garage and water toys, including a Novurania Equator 5.4m tender, Seabobs, paddleboards, kayaks and a Kawasaki WaveRunner.

Interior Design

Giorgia I’s interior was refreshed during a substantial 2020 refit led by François Zuretti, with further cosmetic upgrades completed between 2020 and 2024. The styling combines cream and ivory tones with dark timber detailing, marble surfaces and soft lighting, creating a calm and consistent atmosphere throughout the yacht.

The main saloon is arranged in a classic formal layout, with a lounge aft and a dining area forward for up to 10 guests. Low-profile furnishings, soft carpeting and large side windows keep the room open and bright, while dark wood accents add contrast without making the space feel heavy. Recent updates included new wooden flooring and refreshed paint finishes across the upper sections of the main and upper deck interiors.

Above, the skylounge offers a more casual setting with sofa seating, a sit-up bar and direct access to the bridge deck aft dining area. This deck tends to become one of the yacht’s most-used guest spaces, particularly during longer cruises where guests want a quieter indoor retreat away from the main saloon below.

Entertainment systems were extensively updated and include retractable Samsung Full HD televisions, integrated Bose and Sonos audio systems, Plex media integration and iPad-controlled AV throughout the yacht. Starlink and upgraded WiFi systems also support extended cruising and remote working onboard.

The galley carries commercial-grade equipment from Miele, Wolf and Bosch, while crew spaces include a dedicated mess area and laundry fitted with commercial Miele appliances.

Accommodation

Giorgia I accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins, while separate crew quarters house up to seven crew in four cabins. The layout follows the proven Benetti Classic 120 arrangement, which balances private owner space with practical guest circulation across three decks.

The full-beam owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck and includes a private office/study, walk-in wardrobe, vanity area and large marble en suite bathroom with separate shower. Large windows bring natural light into the suite, which benefits from greater privacy away from the lower guest accommodation.

Four additional guest cabins are positioned on the lower deck, made up of two doubles and two twin cabins, each twin fitted with an additional Pullman berth. All guest cabins include en suite marble bathrooms and follow the same cream-toned styling seen throughout the rest of the yacht.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-32) 12-cylinder 1,549hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Giorgia I is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 42,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,500 nautical miles at 13 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Giorgia I also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
