Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 5.9m beam and a 1.46m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks.
Exterior Design
Liberty carries the hallmarks of traditional American styling with a clean, confident profile and a freshly painted royal blue hull paired with a white bootstripe. Built on the MAGPIE platform from Setzer Design Group, this version has been stretched by 2 metres (6.5ft) in length and widened by 0.5 metres (1.5ft), bringing her overall length to 25 metres (82ft). These adjustments are most evident around the pilothouse, which now has a larger footprint and includes a raised seating area just aft, overlooking the cockpit below.
Exterior areas are finished in teak decking, lending warmth and character across the pilot deck and outdoor zones. A small, streamlined flybridge is accessed via the port side, complete with a davit and room for relaxed sunbathing or enjoying the views. The tender is stowed securely on the roof of the pilothouse and launched using a hydraulic crane. The bow features a smart anchoring setup, with the foredeck doubling as a sunbathing spot.
Side decks run fully around the yacht, making movement between bow and stern straightforward. At the aft end, the cockpit provides a versatile space that can be used for staging water sports or occasional fishing. Access to the swim platform is available through a central transom gate, and there's a small barbecue grill tucked into the aft deck for casual outdoor cooking. Just below, a watertight Freeman hatch leads to the engine room, which is positioned aft to isolate vibration and noise.
Above the cockpit, a raised aft seating area offers a sheltered place to sit and take in the surroundings. Traditional touches like the dorade vents - a feature more commonly seen on sailing yachts - provide passive ventilation while keeping out sea spray, reinforcing the yacht’s pedigree.
Interior Design
The interior of Liberty showcases detailed wood craftsmanship seldom found on production yachts. The main saloon stretches the full beam of the deckhouse and is framed by large windows on all sides, drawing in natural light and offering expansive views. Honduras mahogany dominates the finish, with book-matched panels and traditional inlays contributing to a warm, hand-finished aesthetic. Underfoot, teak and holly soles carry a consistent look throughout.
The saloon layout includes a settee and armchair arranged around a coffee table to starboard, with a raised U-shaped settee forward that surrounds a folding dining table. A pop-up television, part of a 48-inch Samsung HD entertainment system, is built into the cabinetry, paired with a Sony stereo system for audio. Altogether, the space strikes a balance between traditional atmosphere and modern function.
Moving forward into the wheelhouse, the helm sits centrally with clear sightlines and full navigation equipment, including bow thruster and stabilizer controls. Helm seating is flanked by L-shaped settees in both aft corners, each served by its own varnished teak table, creating an informal and sociable atmosphere even while underway. This pilothouse area also includes a refrigerator and ice maker for added convenience.
Just three steps down from the saloon lies the galley, designed with both functionality and openness in mind. Equipment includes a full-size refrigerator, two freezer compartments, a wine cooler, dishwasher, four-burner stove, and oven. Work surfaces are finished with high-quality countertops, and a washer-dryer is built into the hallway nearby. The layout allows the galley to remain closely connected to the main living spaces while retaining its own working footprint.
Accommodation
Liberty accommodates up to six guests across three ensuite staterooms, each appointed to a high standard. The full-beam master suite is positioned amidships and features a king-size bed, extensive storage with a hanging locker, built-in vanity, and plentiful drawer space. The en suite includes dual vanities, a separate stall shower, and a private WC.
Forward in the bow is the VIP cabin, which benefits from the reconfigured layout that replaced two smaller cabins with one larger space. The queen-size berth is positioned athwartships, taking full advantage of the available beam. The VIP also includes its own en suite bathroom with a stall shower.
A third guest cabin lies off the galley on the starboard side, furnished with twin single berths and an ensuite head complete with separate shower. Each cabin includes its own Samsung television and entertainment system, maintaining a consistent level of comfort throughout.
In addition to guest accommodation, Liberty is designed to carry up to two crew members, helping to ensure smooth onboard operations without compromising guest privacy.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C18) 1,000hp engines, motor yacht Liberty is capable of reaching a top speed of 22 knots, and comfortably cruises at 18 knots. With her 11,355 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,000 nautical miles at 15 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
