Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 2.27m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 289 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 2017. This was the fifth yacht built on the Navetta 37 design. Launched in June 2018 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2018.
Exterior Design
Willpower is the fifth Custom Line Navetta 37, delivered in 2018, and Zuccon International Project did a good job of disguising just how much yacht sits inside 37.04m (121.5ft). Her 8m (26.3ft) beam, 289GT volume and high forward hull give her plenty of substance, but long bands of dark glazing, deep upper deck overhangs and a superstructure that steps inward as it rises keep the profile looking much lighter than the numbers suggest.
The Navetta 37 was designed as the flagship of Custom Line’s semi-displacement range, and the extra volume forward was put to work inside the yacht rather than simply added for show. The main deck owner’s suite uses the full beam, while the exterior gains a long foredeck with a separate guest lounge and sunbathing area well away from the busier spaces aft.
The stern was one of the model’s cleverest pieces of design. Custom Line’s Dual Mode Transom allows the aft structure to serve both tender handling and guest use, opening into a beach club once the tender is launched. The garage sits directly behind it and was designed to take a tender of more than 5.5m (18ft), so the working side of the yacht stays neatly contained at the stern.
Guest space then builds upwards through the decks. The main deck aft provides a covered lounge immediately outside the saloon, while the upper deck has a much larger terrace arranged for alfresco dining and relaxed seating. The layout keeps this area close to the skylounge, so lunch, drinks and evening dining can all move easily between inside and out.
The sun deck is another proper guest deck, with a spa pool, sunpads and lounge seating under and around the hardtop. Forward, Willpower also has a separate guest area with seating and sunpads, giving her several outdoor spaces with very different moods. That spread is one of the Navetta 37’s strong suits: nobody has to fight over the same patch of deck.
Interior Design
Zuccon International Project also designed Willpower’s interior, which uses soft neutral tones, contemporary furniture and large areas of glazing to keep the rooms bright. The overall feel is calm and residential, with the architecture doing most of the work instead of relying on heavy decorative finishes.
The main saloon combines lounge and dining areas within one long room, with large windows running down both sides. The beam gives the saloon plenty of width, while direct access to the aft deck extends the living space outside and makes the room easy to use throughout the day.
A second saloon on the upper deck gives guests another proper indoor space, which is especially useful when 10 people are aboard for longer trips. It sits beside the large aft terrace, so the upper deck works as one complete social level with indoor lounging, outdoor dining and open deck space all within a few steps.
Accommodation
Willpower accommodates up to 10 guests in five suites, with the owner’s accommodation forward on the main deck and four guest cabins below.
The owner’s suite uses the full beam and benefits from the Navetta 37’s high volume forward hull. Large side windows bring in plenty of natural light, while the layout includes generous storage and a substantial en suite bathroom.
Four further guest suites sit together on the lower deck, arranged as two doubles and two twins. All are en suite, and the broad hull allows the cabins to feel more substantial than their position below deck might suggest.
Crew accommodation is separated from the guest area and provides space for up to seven.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MAN (12V LE 446) 1,400hp engines, motor yacht Willpower is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 29,900 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,300 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
