Built entirely in aluminum, the latest version expands on the original model’s core philosophy of open, sociable living while introducing a new approach to space, light, and connection with the sea.
Evolving the Triplex Concept
When the original Extra X130 Triplex (previously called 130 Alloy), L.A.U.L., debuted at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show, it redefined the Extra brand’s identity. The yacht’s strong geometry, wide beam, and 390 GT interior volume established the foundations of the Triplex concept: a semi-displacement yacht designed for both performance and relaxed living, capable of speeds exceeding 17 knots.
Six years later, the X130 Triplex revisits that DNA with a renewed focus on architectural flow and outdoor immersion. Studio Agon has reinterpreted the exterior profile with softer curves and integrated stairways, while Laura Brocchini Design has crafted interiors centered on material warmth and natural light.
Reimagined Deck Architecture
The hallmark of the new X130 Triplex is its mezzanine deck, a defining architectural feature that reshapes how guests experience the outdoors. Raised just 90 centimeters above the main deck, this 30-square-meter platform sits between the beach club and saloon, creating twin lounge areas divided by a sculptural fireplace and offering uninterrupted sea views on board the superyacht.
Below, the 60-square-meter beach club unfolds through fold-down terraces aft and to either side, expanding the sense of proximity to the water. A bathroom with a separate shower, freestanding furniture, and direct tender garage access make the area both functional and indulgent.
Interiors Framed by Light and Stone
Inside the motor yacht, the décor draws inspiration from travertine and champagne-toned accents that echo sunlight on the water. Large windows bring the outdoors in, creating warm, sensory interiors that feel simultaneously grounded and expansive.
The main saloon on board the yacht features two semicircular sofas and a 10-person dining area, while forward sits the galley, lobby, and master suite with office, vanity, and walk-in wardrobe. An optional configuration dedicates the entire upper deck to the owner, introducing a panoramic aft-facing cabin with private terrace.
Guest accommodation includes four en-suite cabins below deck—two VIPs and two twins—while the crew quarters house six members plus the captain’s cabin on the upper deck.
Social Flow from Sundeck to Sea
Every level of the X130 Triplex has been designed for gathering. The upper deck features a relaxed saloon with bar, facing seating, and an expansive cockpit. Above, the sundeck under a rigid T-top extends the social focus with a 10- to 12-person dining table, bar counter, twin loungers, and a forward infinity pool that mirrors the horizon.
Constructed entirely from aluminum, the X130 Triplex retains the efficiency and lightness that defined the first-generation model. Powered by twin 2,000-horsepower MAN engines, she reaches a top speed of 16 knots and cruises comfortably at 14 knots, delivering range and stability suited to both island cruising and extended coastal passages.
Building on a Legacy
The original 130 Alloy won acclaim for its balance of interior volume and exterior style, earning recognition at the 2019 World Yachts Trophies for Best Interior Design. The new X130 Triplex carries that legacy forward, refining the same values - comfort, connection, and openness - to meet the expectations of today’s superyacht owners.
With enhanced geometry, layered decks, and a focus on experiential living, Extra Yachts’ next-generation flagship marks both a continuation and a quiet reinvention of what made the 130 Alloy distinctive in the first place.
The first and only unit from the original X130 Triplex series, L.A.U.L., is on the market with Levante Mare srl and Allied Yachting - she is currently asking €13,500,000.
