On Deck

At the aft, a hydraulic swim platform reveals a cleverly concealed tender garage that can house a 3.7-meter tender with a 40hp outboard, or a Williams jet tender. The whole tender sits on a stainless steel rolling tray that slides aft for deployment, while the swim platform itself drops in stepped segments to create a multi-level boarding and launching area.

Once the tender is out, this area becomes an inviting beach club, shaded by the oversized garage door that lifts up to a height of over seven feet. The space includes integrated speakers, a rain shower, and room for chairs or beanbags stashed in the tender. It's a proper hangout zone at water level.

Forward, the bow area is unusually large for a sport yacht of this size and features a Portuguese bridge layout for easy line handling and foredeck access. There are adjustable sun pads, twin dinette tables, and pop-up cleats for fenders. Storage lockers are fully rubber-lined and drainable, with dedicated slots for winch handles and gear. An ultra anchor, windlass with capstan, and both salt and freshwater washdowns complete the setup.

Side boarding doors port and starboard, tall protective railings, and fuel fill screens with digital displays add practicality and polish. This model also incorporates thoughtful Australian-style detailing, including neatly hidden line pockets and dual shore power hook-ups.

Back in the cockpit, the full-beam hardtop extends fully aft and includes an integrated retractable sunshade. There's also an electric moonroof and Riviera’s signature clear acrylic side enclosures, making it possible to completely enclose the space. Whether open to the breeze or fully air-conditioned, this cockpit is built for all climates. Seating includes an L-shaped settee and a convertible table, with plenty of cupholders for high-speed cruising. The outdoor galley is well equipped with an electric grill, griddle, sink, twin drawer fridges, trash bin, ice maker, and storage for utensils and cookware.

Interior Accommodation

Step inside and the interior has an open single-level layout and a calm, luxe atmosphere. The galley sits aft for perfect flow between indoors and cockpit. It’s loaded with Miele appliances including a three-burner induction cooktop, oven, microwave, and a surprisingly deep Fisher & Paykel dishwasher secured with Riviera-made safety latches. There are two large sinks, waste disposal, a hydration tap with filtration, and a built-in trash bin. Refrigeration is extensive, with seven separate units including drawer fridges, freezers, and a dedicated wine cooler.

Storage throughout is generous, with dedicated spaces for stemware and barware. A retractable window connects the galley directly to the cockpit, and the adjacent bar area has its own small sink and prep surface, ideal for cocktails or as a second work zone.

The saloon continues this social feel with ample seating for up to twelve guests. The height and width of the saloon, large panoramic windows, and flush flooring enhance the sense of space. A pop-up TV and convertible table that disappears into a storage nook make this area equally suited for movie nights or entertaining. Two poufs can be repositioned as extra seating or bedding, and clever open-bottom cushions provide bonus storage underneath.

Forward to the helm, the vibe stays inclusive. Two leather helm chairs feature diamond stitching, electric adjustment, flip-up bolsters, and footrests. A co-pilot settee adjacent to the helm seats a few more, and there’s another lounging settee to port. Electronics include triple Garmin screens, CZone controls, joystick steering, bow thruster, Humphree stabilization, Volvo engine screens, stereo system, and signature air vents. A sliding side door and electric drop-down windows provide ventilation and access to the side decks.

Owner's Cabin

The full-beam owner's suite sits amidships and truly makes the most of the yacht’s volume. A king-size bed is flanked by oversized hull windows and a sofa, while clever touches include built-in hampers, a drink fridge, and abundant storage. Hanging lockers, drawers, and open shelves are tucked throughout the space. The makeup vanity area adds a private retreat feel, and the fit-out includes multiple lighting zones, upholstered finishes, and soft textures.

The ensuite bathroom is immense for a sport yacht in this size class. There’s a dual vanity, heated towel rails, and a vast walk-in shower with seating. The floor space here is exceptional, and although currently open-plan, it looks like it could be enclosed on request.

Guest Accommodation

The forward VIP cabin is generously sized, with a centrally positioned bed that measures close to a European king. It’s fitted with a hanging locker, drawers, additional shelving, and has private access to a large ensuite. The overhead hatch is neatly finished in teak and sits flush with the deck.

To port, the twin guest cabin features beds that can slide together to form a queen. There are large hanging lockers, built-in storage, a TV, and an ensuite that also functions as the day head. The bathroom includes a one-person shower with a seat, an opening porthole, and good storage.

The fourth guest cabin is a bunk room with long staggered beds and a surprising amount of space. This room can be kept as sleeping quarters or configured as a lounge-style retreat with a settee. Either way, it provides good overflow capacity or can be used for storage.

Crew Accommodation

Aft of the owner's suite, Riviera includes optional crew quarters. This compact space can be used as a crew cabin, utility room, or extra guest overflow. It includes a washer and dryer (separate units), microwave, fridge, sink, drawers, wet head, and sound-insulated doors. A second door allows it to connect or remain separated from the owner’s suite, depending on preference.

Performance

The engine room is accessible from both the cockpit and the transom hatch, making maintenance practical. Inside, the space is neatly arranged and well labelled. Twin Volvo Penta D13-IPS1350 engines sit at the heart, supported by two generators, a large Fireboy suppression system, and Humphree stabilizers. House power comes from lithium batteries, and there’s extensive breaker access, Mastervolt charging systems, and twin shore power reels.

All systems are designed for serviceability, with Arctic Steel strainers, fuel filtration, freshwater hookups, and ventilation all clearly routed. The tender garage above doesn’t encroach too much on the working area, leaving enough space for easy access to the IPS drives and through-hull fittings.

Performance-wise, the yacht reaches 33 knots top speed and cruises comfortably at 25 knots. With a range of up to 1,350 nautical miles at 8 knots, it’s more than capable of longer passages too. The hull is GRP with vinylester resin and a solid laminate bottom.

In Summary

This tour completely upended expectations. What looked like a sleek 70-footer turned out to be far more spacious, clever, and liveable than anticipated. The aft beach club setup, walk-through foredeck, and enclosed cockpit all drew real admiration, but it was the full-beam owner’s suite that stole the show. With smart design throughout and features clearly shaped by real-world use, this Riviera felt uber-capable and surprisingly luxurious.
