Design & Construction
Designed around a catamaran GRP hull and superstructure she features a 12m beam and a 1.65m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 242 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the WiderCat 92 design. Launched in January 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Wider Yachts' Wider Fano Shipyard yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in May 2024.
Exterior Design
Acali is based on the Wider WiderCat 92 platform, a 28.04m (92ft) hybrid catamaran built in Ancona by Wider Engineering with exterior and interior styling from Luca Dini Design and Centro Stile Wider. Her profile moves away from the square, workboat look often linked with large powercats. Instead, the yacht uses sharp angles, long glazed sections and layered deck structures to create a much lower and more sculpted shape on the water.
The first thing that stands out is the beam. At just under 12m (39.4ft) wide, Acali has an enormous footprint that changes the feel of every deck space on board. The side decks alone are broad enough to hold sun loungers, while the aft cockpit has the sort of width usually found on much larger yachts. The shape of the superstructure also plays with asymmetry, with angled mouldings and cut-outs that break up the volume and give glimpses of the sea while moving around the yacht.
The aft section centres around a 67sqm (720sq/ft) beach club. Fold-down terraces widen the area even further at water level while the garage door lowers to form a swim platform. The garage itself can carry either a 5.5m (18ft) tender or a 4.5m (15ft) tender alongside a jet ski. A zip-in screen conceals the storage area when the platform sits open, so the space keeps a cleaner, lounge-like look.
One of Acali’s most unusual features lies within the hulls themselves. The mirrored VIP cabins each have watertight doors leading straight out onto the beach club terraces, giving guests direct sea access from their cabins. It feels closer to a waterside apartment than a conventional yacht cabin arrangement.
The foredeck uses the yacht’s beam to good effect too. Large side decks lead forward to a broad sunpad area with storage beneath the windscreen and space for extra toys such as jet skis, handled by an integrated crane system. Up above, the upper aft deck forms one of the yacht’s main social spaces, with a large bar, stools, lounges and a separate grill station arranged beneath the protection of the overhang.
Acali also carries around 170sqm (1,830sq/ft) of solar panels integrated across the upper structures and wheelhouse roof. These feed the yacht’s hybrid system and support low-emission operation at anchor.
Interior Design
The interior of Acali follows the same sharp-edged design language as the exterior. Angled detailing, curved ceiling roundels and bold geometric forms appear throughout the yacht, tying the spaces together without making them feel repetitive. The styling uses soft tones alongside stronger colour accents, with each guest cabin given its own theme and palette.
The main saloon takes full advantage of the catamaran beam. There is a huge amount of floor space between the seating areas, so the room feels open rather than crowded. A large round dining table sits at the centre of the space beneath a circular ceiling detail and statement lighting feature, while deep sofas line the starboard side. Wide glazing floods the room with light and keeps the sea in view from almost every angle.
Forward on the main deck, the owner’s suite occupies around half of the available deck area. The cabin has a freestanding central bed, broad side windows and enough headroom to reinforce the sense of volume. Leather detailing around the bed base and ceiling panels adds texture while the bathroom includes marble sinks, a large shower with sea views, a bidet and generous storage. One particularly clever detail is the owner’s private pantry space, fitted with a countertop, storage and drinks cooler, so refreshments are close at hand without needing to leave the suite.
The upper saloon offers a more enclosed and relaxed atmosphere compared to the openness of the main deck below. Positioned directly aft of the bridge, it works as a quieter lounge space for evening drinks, films or sports viewing. Sliding doors open the room directly onto the upper aft deck bar area, helping the indoor and outdoor spaces work together naturally.
Acali’s galley also reflects the yacht’s focus on practicality without slipping into a commercial feel. Positioned on the main deck, it has induction cooking, substantial refrigeration, generous worktops and direct side deck access so crew can move around the yacht discreetly. The finish quality matches the guest spaces rather than feeling separated as a service area.
Accommodation
Acali accommodates up to eight guests across four cabins, arranged with a strong focus on guest comfort rather than simply maximising berth numbers. The standard layout places the owner’s suite on the main deck while the guest accommodation sits within the twin hulls below.
The owner’s cabin is one of the defining spaces on board. Positioned forward on the main deck, it combines the scale of a much larger yacht suite with wide views and direct outdoor access. The bed sits centrally within the room and there is enough circulation space around it that the cabin feels more like a waterfront apartment than a yacht stateroom. Storage wraps around one side of the suite while the ensuite bathroom spans a large footprint with marble detailing and a full-height shower.
Inside the hulls are two mirrored VIP cabins, one to port and one to starboard. Each has its own colour accents, large hull glazing, generous wardrobe storage and ensuite bathroom. Their standout feature is direct access to the beach club terraces through watertight side doors. Guests can step straight outside for swimming or paddleboarding without moving through the yacht itself.
The fourth guest cabin is arranged as a twin and uses a lighter, more playful look with coloured detailing and matching marble finishes in the bathroom. The spacing between the beds remains generous thanks to the width available within the catamaran hulls.
Crew accommodation is split between the hulls and supports up to four crew members. The captain’s cabin includes a private bathroom, storage and desk space while the crew mess has its own dinette, TV and yacht monitoring systems.
Performance & Capabilities
The hybrid propulsion system remains a key feature of the WiderCat 92, with twin electric motors delivering 500kW each to the thrusters and two 349kW variable speed generators for electrical energy production. This allows cruising in ZEM (Zero Emission Mode) with a range of 27 nautical miles at 6 knots in complete silence, or 14 hours autonomy on battery power at anchor. On bright, sunlit days, the 75 m² of solar panels on the WiderCat 92 can ensure full energy self-sufficiency when anchored.
Motor catamaran yacht Acali is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 10,000 litre fuel tanks, she has a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles at 8 knots.
