At Last is an award winning 44.2m motor yacht for sale delivered by Dutch shipyard Heesen in 1990. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Gerhard Gilgenast, while Claudette Bonville is responsible for her interior design.

Key Features

  • Spacious sky lounge
  • Zero-speed stabilizers for smooth cruising
  • Main deck master suite, large en suite
  • Water jet propulsion for shallow draft

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.53m beam and a 2.08m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 391 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

At Last is a 44m (144ft) aluminium superyacht built by Heesen Yachts in the Netherlands. Her sleek profile conceals a remarkably shallow draft of just 1.8m (5.9ft), achieved through a waterjet propulsion system that replaces conventional shafts and rudders. This gives her the rare ability to operate comfortably in shallow cruising grounds such as the Bahamas, reaching places usually reserved for much smaller boats.

Her hull and superstructure are finished in bare aluminium, a hallmark of Heesen’s lightweight construction and precision engineering. The overall exterior design feels purposeful and dynamic, with smooth, fluid lines that emphasise her long, low stance on the water.

The main deck aft is devoted to water sports and storage rather than the usual seating setup. A full-width toy garage holds four jet skis, launched via a beam crane that slides out overhead to deploy them directly into the water. A small flat fishing boat is stored opposite.

Moving further forward, a comfortable aft lounge area sits tucked into the superstructure, with deep seating and a TV built into the cabinetry, ideal for relaxed evenings at anchor. Broad side decks lead toward the bow, where the foredeck offers a casual lounging area and an impressive working space fitted with twin anchor windlasses.

The upper deck extends aft from the sky lounge, creating a bright outdoor dining area with a swivelling TV and wing control stations on either side for docking visibility.

One level up, the sun deck feels open and sociable, designed purely for relaxation. Because all tenders and toys are stored lower down, the entire space remains clear for sunbeds, a plunge pool-style hot tub, and shaded seating beneath a hard top. A full wet bar, barbecue, and refrigeration units turn this deck into a ready-made party zone, while the mast structure above carries navigation domes and radar arrays.

At Last's exterior design balances the practical requirements of sea travel with the amenities expected on a luxury vessel, ensuring both functionality and comfort for guests on board.

Interior Design

Stepping into At Last’s main deck, the design immediately feels generous and welcoming. The main saloon sits aft, arranged around large sofas and a wall-mounted television. From here, a striking spiral staircase rises and falls through the decks, creating a sculptural focal point in polished wood and metal.

Forward of the saloon, the dining area provides a formal setting for meals, followed by the entrance to the owner’s suite, which occupies the forward section of the main deck.

The galley sits to port behind a discreet door, featuring full professional equipment, abundant refrigeration, and vast storage options. A separate pantry serves as a staging area for service.

Crew have their own stairway from this area down to their quarters, which include a mess with dining nook, entertainment systems, and a compact galley-style prep space. A washer and dryer are provided here for day-to-day use, while a full-size laundry lies on the lower deck.

The upper deck is home to the sky lounge, designed in a lighter, more casual palette than the main saloon. It features a raised bar, ample seating, and a concealed television that rises from the cabinetry. Forward lies the captain’s office and private cabin, with the bridge ahead fitted with an extensive suite of navigation and monitoring systems. The waterjet controls and vectoring levers sit beside the throttles, allowing for precise maneuvering, including the ability to move the yacht laterally when docking.

Accommodation

At Last accommodates up to 10 guests in five cabins. The full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck includes vast wardrobe space, dual walk-in closets, and a notably large bathroom, its layout made possible by the offset passageway leading forward. The ensuite features a large shower, separate toilet area with sliding privacy door, and extensive marble surfaces.

On the lower deck, a wide lobby area leads to four additional guest cabins. The VIP cabin sits forward with a generous ensuite and separate dressing area. A twin cabin follows, fitted with two single berths and its own ensuite bathroom featuring a bathtub. Two further double cabins lie aft, each with spacious ensuite facilities and abundant storage.

Crew accommodation is arranged for up to eight. Three twin bunk cabins are located on the lower deck, each with private ensuite shower rooms, while the captain’s cabin is situated beside the bridge. The crew area includes a comfortable mess, TV, laundry facilities, and direct external access for efficient service throughout the yacht.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V4000 M90) 2,735hp engines, motor yacht At Last is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 73,500 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,685 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort, while underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down. At Last also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
