WATCH: 55m Heesen Pa'lante Christened in Rotterdam Ahead of Monaco Yacht Show Debut

Heesen Yachts has officially christened the 55-metre superyacht Pa’lante in Rotterdam, marking the delivery of the Dutch shipyard’s latest steel superyacht and highlighting the continued success of its speculative build strategy focused on immediate availability and Northern European craftsmanship.

Previously known as Project Frida, the 760GT motor yacht is a part of the Heesen 55m Steel series and combines Heesen’s proven Ultra Efficient Steel Hull platform with exterior styling by Omega Architects and bespoke interiors by LUCA DINI Design & Architecture.

Rotterdam christening marks official beginning for Pa’lante

Heesen Yachts officially christened Pa’lante during a ceremony at Hotel New York in Rotterdam, celebrating the latest addition to the Dutch builder’s steel fleet ahead of the yacht’s maiden Mediterranean season. The event marked the transition of the project from its construction identity as YN 21055 and Project Frida into its operational life as Pa’lante, a name chosen by the owners to reflect a philosophy of encouragement and forward momentum. The christening also highlighted Heesen’s speculative construction approach, which combines reduced delivery times with fully engineered Northern European craftsmanship. Following successful North Sea sea trials completed to Lloyd’s Register standards, the yacht is now preparing for her public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.

Dutch pedigree and fast delivery shape the latest Heesen launch

Delivered from Heesen’s Oss shipyard in the Netherlands, the yacht has been built on the Dutch builder’s proven 55m Steel platform, pairing a fast displacement steel hull developed with an aluminium superstructure. The yacht was constructed under Heesen’s speculative build programme, a strategy designed to significantly shorten delivery times for owners seeking a fully engineered Northern European superyacht without the delays associated with a fully custom project.

Omega Architects introduces a sharper and more contemporary profile

The motor yacht features an exterior with clean horizontal lines and uninterrupted glazing to create a more modern interpretation of the Heesen 55m platform. The defining feature is the aggressive “shark tooth” overhang, giving the yacht a sharper identity while maintaining balanced proportions. Continuous bands of tinted glass and the absence of structural pillars across sections of the superstructure enhance both exterior flow and interior sightlines. Despite her 760GT internal volume, Pa’lante retains dimensions suited to smaller Mediterranean ports, combining long-range capability with cruising flexibility.

Beach club living and open-air entertaining define the exterior lifestyle

Outdoor spaces aboard Pa’lante have been arranged to maximise comfort, circulation and versatility across all three decks. The sundeck centres around a whirlpool surrounded by sunpads, lounge seating and a full-service bar designed to transition seamlessly from daytime relaxation into evening entertaining. Forward of the bridge, a more sheltered seating area offers privacy while underway or at anchor. The stern arrangement focuses heavily on waterside living, with broad descending steps leading directly into the beach club and fixed swim platform. The bridge deck aft extends the sky lounge outdoors through flexible furniture layouts and uninterrupted views, while tenders and toys are handled via a crane integrated into the navigation mast to preserve guest areas for leisure use.

The superyacht's interior features contemporary styling, pairing dark wengé wood with lighter sycamore finishes and Calcite Blue stone accents. The 77-square-metre main salon combines formal dining and lounge spaces within a single open-plan volume framed by full-height windows that bring natural light deep into the interior. Additional features include chevron-pattern detailing, integrated cabinetry and sculptural lighting elements, as well as several areas designed to showcase the owners’ contemporary art collection. Accommodation is arranged for 12 guests across six cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck complete with private study, veranda access, walk-in wardrobe and a large en suite finished.
