44m Heesen Custom Superyacht Kijo Sold

The 44m Heesen custom motor yacht Kijo has been sold, marking another transaction in the Dutch shipyard’s semi-displacement segment. Delivered in 2003, the all-aluminium superyacht features a semi-displacement hull and a multi-deck layout designed for extended cruising.

Kijo features exterior design and naval architecture developed by Heesen, with interiors by Terence Disdale Design. This collaboration brings together the shipyard’s established engineering platform with a classically styled interior approach focused on balance and onboard comfort.

The interior of the superyacht follows a timeless design language, characterised by warm wood finishes, soft furnishings, and a neutral-toned palette that creates a cohesive onboard environment, with Terence Disdale’s design emphasising proportion and material consistency throughout. The main saloon is arranged with distinct lounge and dining areas to support both social interaction and formal use, while large windows introduce consistent natural light and enhance the sense of onboard volume, reinforcing the yacht’s focus on comfortable onboard living.

The exterior of the motor yacht is defined by a streamlined profile and balanced proportions, supported by her all-aluminium construction, which contributes to reduced weight and structural efficiency. Multiple exterior deck areas are arranged for dining, lounging, and sunbathing, including a sheltered aft deck for al fresco dining and an open sundeck for relaxation, while wide side decks and integrated walkways ensure ease of movement between spaces.

Each cabin reflects the yacht’s overall interior styling through consistent materials and finishes, with en suite facilities throughout to support extended stays onboard, while separate crew quarters allow for professional service without impacting guest areas.
