Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 28'3" beam and a 7'10" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 375 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Blue Breeze measures 40.2 meters (132ft) and features exterior styling by Cor D. Rover, marking a shift in design direction for the yard. Her lines are understated and softly contoured, with a dark blue hull paired with an aluminum superstructure that keeps displacement low while maintaining structural strength. Her stretched bow is slightly curved and fine enough to slice cleanly through the water, contributing to a smooth ride and agile handling. Built with a bulbous hull, the yacht performs at a maximum speed of 21 knots when half-loaded and cruises economically at 12 knots with a range of 3,500 nautical miles.
Access from the stern is via a port-side passerelle that swings 90 degrees and converts into stairs. The transom folds down along with the central part of the passerelle to form a generous swim platform. Inside the transom are lockers for watersports gear, along with two hot showers. The teak-lined decks, handrails, and external stairs provide a tactile, high-quality finish, while ivory-painted winch platforms and raised cleats help avoid stubbed toes.
Side decks are well-protected by high bulwarks and shaded by the upper deck. At the bow, there’s built-in seating on the coachroof, a hydraulic crane, and storage for one of two tenders. The foredeck is a good spot for a quiet moment underway. The sundeck is designed for easygoing outdoor living, with a spa pool forward, flanked by sunpads and two oversized sofas. There’s also a grill-equipped American-style galley, low tables, and three intimate lounging alcoves aft - perfect for relaxed meals or drying off after a swim.
The main tender is stowed aft and launched via hydraulic crane. On the skydeck, a large outdoor dining table for twelve, a bar, and a dedicated games table round out this versatile space.
Interior Design
Interior design by Isabelle Blanchère uses a single timber throughout - maple - forming a checkerboard pattern on cabinetry, columns, and furniture. This consistent aesthetic carries through all interior spaces, enhanced by crisp blue upholstery, removable covers, and wide-plank teak flooring in lieu of carpets. The ambiance is light and informal, inspired by the sea and reminiscent of classic American film sets.
Guests enter the saloon through four-panelled glass and stainless-steel doors, which are electrically operated. The saloon is arranged in three parts: a half-moon granite-topped bar to starboard, a card table with four armchairs to port, and a lounge area with two large striped sofas. The aft dining area seats ten around a circular table, beneath a fresco by Véronique Charpy and flanked by two Picasso ceramic vases. Natural light pours in through large, rounded portholes. The ceramicist Gianni Celano Giannici contributed a striking molten-glass mural on the saloon bulkhead evoking stars, fish, and sky.
Forward on the main deck, the galley is part stainless steel and extremely well-equipped: it includes an eight-ring induction stove, Miele ovens, plate warmers, grill, microwave, dry steam oven, dishwasher, six fridges, and five freezers. A nearby staircase leads up to the pilothouse and down to the crew mess.
The bridge features two blue leather Boeing-style pilot chairs in front of a comprehensive navigation and control console, which includes twin radars, DGPS units, a DGPS chart plotter, touch screens for alarm and safety systems, and external wing controls for maneuvering. The entire system is set up for straightforward cruising, even in busy ports.
A sky lounge just aft of the wheelhouse offers another relaxed social space, complete with a cocktail bar, dedicated games table, and ceramic artworks by Serge Vandercam.
Accommodation
Guest accommodation is arranged amidships on the lower deck and accessed via a spiral staircase with non-slip treads. There are four guest cabins in total. Two full-beam VIP suites are positioned fore and aft, each featuring queen-size beds, dressing tables, generous storage, and en suite bathrooms with bathtubs, twin sinks, and separate WCs. One suite is decorated in soft yellows, the other in blue. Oval portholes with maple Venetian blinds provide natural light.
Between them, two twin cabins sit side by side, one finished in red and the other in blue. Beds in both are joined by a single wave-shaped headboard. Each has an en suite with a large enclosed shower. Exceptional ceiling height and deep mattresses help these cabins feel generously sized rather than confined.
The master suite occupies the full-beam forward section of the main deck. It opens through a private office space with large portholes and a cheerful palette of pale wood and blue-checked upholstery. This leads into a lavish dressing room with parquet flooring and a gold sunburst ceiling motif. The main bedroom features a king-size bed dressed in blue-and-white cotton, a sofa, two sideboards, and concealed television that descends from the ceiling. Bathrooms sit to either side - "hers" with a hydromassage tub and dressing table, "his" with a bath and shaving area - both with large portholes for daylight.
Crew accommodations are located forward of the engine room and aft of the wheelhouse. They include direct access to both areas for efficient service. There are dedicated crew stairways and a crew mess, as well as a separate cabin for the skipper near the bridge, complete with a porthole. The yacht accommodates up to 10 guests across 5 cabins and carries 7 crew.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V396TE94) 2,250hp engines, motor yacht Blue Breeze is capable of reaching a top speed of 21 knots, and comfortably cruises at 19 knots. With her 13,209 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,031 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
