Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 2.5m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 498 GT (Gross Tonnes).

She was completed at Benetti's Livorno yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.

Exterior Design

Indigo is the Oasis version of Benetti’s B.Now 50M, so the stern takes priority from the outset. Fold-down side terraces open the aft deck across almost the full 9m (29.5ft) beam, with the infinity pool set centrally above the bathing platform. It is the same basic idea YachtBuyer explored in our Benetti B.Now 50M Oasis review, where the connection between the pool, terraces and sea was one of the strongest parts of the boat.

Indigo adds plenty of places to get away from that stern, which matters on a yacht where the Oasis Deck is such an obvious gathering point. The foredeck has a broad lounge and large sunpads, while the sun deck carries another Jacuzzi, bar, dining area and BBQ beneath a retractable roof. It can therefore work as an open sun deck or a much more sheltered dining space without relying on temporary awnings.

The upper deck aft adds another substantial terrace outside the skylounge, with dining and loose seating under the overhang. From the profile, the long black glazing and swept superstructure keep the B.Now 50M relatively low for a yacht close to 500GT, while the high bow hides much of the working deck and tender handling from view.

Interior Design

Indigo’s interior is contemporary and fairly restrained instead relyng on textural details, with large areas of glazing and a layout that gives more space to circulation than decorative set pieces. The main saloon combines lounge seating and formal dining, while the upper saloon is a quieter second living area with its own large television and access straight onto the aft deck.

More interesting is the way some of the less obvious interior space has been used. Indigo has a separate guest office on the upper deck and a dedicated wellness room with a steam room, Technogym bike, free weights and TRX equipment. That space has been refurbished for its current role, so it is one of the clearer ways in which this particular B.Now 50M has developed beyond the standard layout.

Accommodation

Indigo has five cabins for up to 12 guests, although the layout is really designed around ten adults with two additional Pullman berths for children. That distinction matters because there is no sixth guest cabin hidden in the plan.

The owner has the full beam suite forward on the main deck, with a 2m by 2m bed, dressing space, twin wardrobes and a private fold-out balcony. The bathroom is unusually substantial, with a central shower, separate bath and twin basins, so the suite uses more than just the width of the hull to feel generous.

Four guest cabins sit on the lower deck. Two are doubles with queen beds, while the other pair can switch between twins and doubles. Those convertible cabins also carry Pullman berths when arranged as twins, which is how Indigo reaches her maximum capacity of 12 without sacrificing permanent cabin space to occasional use.

Crew accommodation is provided for ten aboard Indigo.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin MAN (V12-1400) 1,400hp engines, motor yacht Indigo is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 60,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles.

Tenders

Piccolino, a 14m (45.9ft) SACS Rebel 47 chase boat, is the most significant part of Indigo’s tender setup. It operates alongside a 6.2m (20.3ft) Pascoe tender and has two dedicated crew of its own, separate from the ten aboard the mothership.

The toy inventory includes two SeaDoo Sparks, four Seabobs, an eFoil, Awake jetboard, paddleboards, wakeboards, waterskis, towables, fishing and snorkelling equipment, plus an inflatable playground. Indigo is also an RYA approved watersports centre.
