Introducing the Benetti B.Neos: A Motor Yacht Shaped by Sailing Ideals

Benetti has revealed the new Benetti B.Neos range, a new motor yacht concept that reinterprets the proportions, silence, and simplicity traditionally associated with sailing yachts.

The design seeks to attract a new generation of owners by emphasizing restraint, efficiency, and authenticity over sheer size.

A Philosophy of Essential Living

The name B.Neos comes from the Greek word néos, meaning new, young, and fresh. This spirit underpins the yacht’s purpose: an alternative to the conventional pursuit of volume and excess. Instead, B.Neos prioritizes fluid layouts, intelligent use of space, and minimalist interiors intended to provide understated luxury. Hybrid propulsion comes as standard, ensuring quiet operation at anchor and underlining the project’s focus on serenity at sea.

From sailing, B.Neos also inherits the pleasure of silence at anchor, made possible by hybrid technology and an essential approach to interiors, distinct from the redundant opulence seen oftentimes in certain yachting segments”.

The exterior design is the work of Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design, an internationally respected studio recognized for dynamic superyachts where glass is a defining element. Known for forward-looking engineering and an emphasis on light-filled structures, the studio has designed more than 200 yachts. For B.Neos, McKeon has applied the sleek, low-slung proportions of a sailing yacht to a motor yacht format, creating a profile that is both refined and contemporary.

Interiors by FM Architettura

Italian studio FM Architettura, led by Francesca Muzio, has created interiors that balance simplicity with warmth. The spaces are designed to feel fluid and welcoming without falling into ornate excess, reinforcing the project’s ethos of essential luxury. Muzio’s practice has a history of highly tailored projects across superyachts, private residences, and hospitality, with a reputation for detail and craftsmanship.

B.Neos enters a portfolio that ranges from 34-meter composite yachts to custom builds over 100 meters in steel and aluminum. The concept aligns with Benetti’s tradition of evolving its lineup to address new lifestyles and expectations while maintaining construction excellence.

By merging sailing aesthetics with motor yacht performance and standard hybrid propulsion, B.Neos signals Benetti’s attempt to set a new direction in design philosophy, one that favors elegance, quiet operation, and purposeful simplicity over grandeur.

Benetti’s Evolving Design Language

Although few details of the B.NEOS have been released, the model arrives within a portfolio that highlights Benetti’s evolving approach to lifestyle-focused design.

The Benetti B.Now series (49–72m) has become one of the yard’s defining platforms, recognized for upright bows, expansive glazing, and layouts that emphasize fluid transitions between interior and exterior spaces. Larger variants include dedicated owner’s decks, while many models adopt the Oasis Deck with fold-down terraces at water level.

The Benetti Oasis line (34–42m) set the tone for this new direction when it debuted in 2020. Its contemporary styling, open interiors, and extended aft beach clubs with plunge pools have made it a reference point for younger owners seeking yachts that prioritize social spaces and a strong connection to the sea.

At the upper end, the Benetti B.Loft 65M from the Benetti B.Loft range pushes residential influence further, introducing four-meter ceilings, a cabana-style lounge with panoramic views, and convertible outdoor areas enhanced by fold-down wings. It represents Benetti’s push to merge loft-like living with the scale and freedom of a superyacht.

The B.Neos joins a wide Benetti portfolio that includes ranges such as B.Now, Oasis, and B.Loft, each exhibiting the shipyard’s evolving approach to design and lifestyle. By drawing on sailing ideals and adopting hybrid propulsion as standard, it underlines Benetti’s aim to advance motor yacht design toward quieter, more purposeful luxury.
