More Details

Delivered in 2001, True North is a 35.97m motor yacht for sale built by Broward. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Broward.

Key Features

  • 36m Broward aluminium build
  • Flybridge with bar and dining
  • Raised pilothouse layout
  • Country kitchen style galley

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 7.3m beam and a 1.9m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 209 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

True North is a 36m (118ft) Broward raised pilothouse yacht, built in aluminium with a long, straight sheerline and a dark hull that contrasts with the white superstructure. The profile stays low and stretched, with large rectangular windows running along the main deck, giving the yacht a more horizontal look than many modern builds.

The aft deck is arranged for open-air dining and social use, with fixed seating, tables, and a walk-up bar positioned to one side, so service stays simple without cutting through guest space. Access between levels is handled by both an internal route through the raised pilothouse and an external spiral staircase aft, which keeps movement flexible depending on use.

Up on the flybridge, the layout is split between helm and leisure. The main helm sits forward to port with a wing station to starboard for docking, while the rest of the deck is given over to a full bar and a large oval dining table with built-in seating. The space reads as practical rather than decorative, set up for long days outside.

Interior Design

The interior leans on classic yacht detailing, with rich mahogany joinery used throughout the main living areas and cabins. The main saloon sits aft on the main deck, arranged as a social space with a full bar and a central entertainment system built around a 60-inch screen.

Forward of this, a separate formal dining room adds a more private setting, and the layout allows it to double as a meeting space when needed. Further forward again, the galley follows a country kitchen format, which brings a more informal, lived-in feel compared to closed galley setups.

Accommodation

True North offers accommodation for up to 8 guests in 4 suites comprising an owners cabin, 1 double cabin and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3412-TA) 1,350hp engines, motor yacht True North is capable of reaching a top speed of 19 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 43,911 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
