First Images of 11m Nimbus Sport Tender 35 Revealed Ahead of Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 Debut

Nimbus has unveiled the first images of the new sports tender, introducing the model ahead of its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026.

The 11m Nimbus Sport Tender 35 is the first model to be revealed from Nimbus' new Sport Cruiser 35 series, which will also include the Sport Weekender and Sport Coupé. Developed on a newly engineered air-lubricated twin-stepped hull, the model has been designed around everyday cruising, with flexible social spaces, overnight accommodation and technology intended to make life on board straightforward for owners and guests alike.

A new platform sets the direction for Nimbus Sport Cruisers

Rather than introducing a single standalone model, Nimbus has used the Sport Tender 35 to launch an entirely new platform that will underpin three distinct yachts. Sharing a common hull, the forthcoming Sport Weekender and Sport Coupé will each offer their own interpretation of the concept while retaining the same engineering foundation. According to Nimbus, the new series builds on the Scandinavian design principles that have shaped the brand since 1968, with the focus placed on how owners and guests actually use a boat throughout the day rather than designing around the helm position alone.

Flexible deck spaces adapt from cruising to entertaining

The motor yacht has been arranged to transform as the day progresses, with fore and aft social areas designed to serve different purposes depending on how the yacht is being used. Wide walkways and generous deck space simplify boarding and line handling before giving way to sun lounging areas once underway. At anchor, electrically operated side balconies expand the aft cockpit, while a large U-shaped seating area converts into multiple layouts for relaxing, dining or sunbathing. A split wet bar and galley have been positioned to keep refreshments close at hand without interrupting movement through the cockpit, allowing the space to remain functional even when the weather changes and the side canopies are deployed.

Practical accommodation extends weekends on the water

Below deck, Nimbus has created accommodation intended to support more than day boating. Two cabins provide berths for up to five people, with a forward double berth, twin berths in the mid-cabin and an additional sofa berth. A separate bathroom incorporates a shower, washbasin and electric toilet, allowing owners and guests to comfortably spend several nights aboard. Throughout the interior, storage, integrated cabinetry and carefully considered circulation reflect the builder's emphasis on practical everyday use rather than maximising sleeping capacity alone.

A new hull and modern systems support confident cruising

The boat introduces a newly developed twin-stepped, air-lubricated hull constructed using vacuum-infused Divinycell sandwich technology to reduce weight while increasing structural rigidity. Nimbus has paired the hull with a choice of Mercury V10 or twin V8 outboard engines, with expected cruising speeds between 30 and 36 knots and a top speed of around 45 knots when equipped with twin V8s. Standard features include Zipwake dynamic trim control, a bow thruster, integrated steering wheel controls and a Simrad navigation system, while buyers can specify larger helm displays, gyro stabilisation, solar panels and lithium batteries. Together, these technologies have been selected to make the boat easier to operate while supporting confident cruising in a wide range of conditions.
