Built with a steel displacement hull and aluminium superstructure, Galene is the sixteenth hull in the Amels 180 series, spans three decks with an internal volume of 671GT. The vessel completed her sea trials shortly after her March 2020 launch before Amels delivered her to her owners in June that year.
The superyacht's interior is designed around a calm and contemporary aesthetic, using pale woods, soft fabrics and darker accents to create a relaxed atmosphere suited to extended cruising. Large windows throughout the yacht bring natural light deep into the interior spaces, while the main saloon is arranged with flexible lounge seating rather than rigid divisions between rooms. Two fold-down balconies extend from the saloon, increasing the usable footprint at anchor and strengthening the connection between the interior and surrounding seascape.
The bridge deck sky lounge acts as a secondary social hub, combining deep seating, a media area and a bar setup, with sliding glass doors opening directly onto the aft dining deck. Materials and finishes remain consistent throughout the yacht, favouring neutral tones and understated detailing rather than strong contrasts, while movable furniture in key areas allows spaces to adapt depending on guest requirements or cruising style.
The yacht's exterior profile reflects the clean and balanced styling associated with the Amels Limited Editions range. The yacht’s elongated lines and dark glazing sections visually streamline the three-deck structure, while the white hull and superstructure maintain a classic Northern European appearance. Wide walkaround decks and carefully integrated outdoor spaces were designed to support practical movement around the yacht without interrupting the profile.
Guest areas outside are arranged to maximise time spent on deck. The bridge deck aft is dedicated to sheltered alfresco dining, while the sundeck combines a Jacuzzi, bar and multiple lounging areas within a single open-plan setting. Closer to the water, the beach club and swim platform create an informal space for watersports and relaxation at anchor. Features such as the fold-down balconies and the owner’s private terrace also expand the usable exterior footprint, creating stronger interaction with the surrounding environment. Galene’s design later earned recognition with a nomination at the 2021 World Superyacht Awards.
The accommodation layout aboard the motor yacht was designed to offer both privacy and flexibility for owners and guests. The main deck owner’s suite spans the yacht’s full beam and incorporates a private balcony that folds out directly above the waterline, alongside generous wardrobe space and separate bathroom facilities.
Four additional guest cabins are located on the lower deck, consisting of two VIP suites and two twin cabins with Pullman berths. The arrangement allows the yacht to comfortably host a variety of guest configurations, from families to larger charter groups. Across all cabins, the same restrained styling found throughout the yacht continues, with neutral finishes and practical layouts intended to support extended stays on board.
Powered by twin MTU 16V 2000 M70 diesel engines, Galene delivers a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
Galene's last know asking price was €35,500,000.
