Cantiere delle Marche Custom 45m New Build Explorer Yacht Sold

Based on an award-winning concept by Giorgio Cassetta and commissioned by a returning owner, a new build 45m Cantiere delle Marche custom explorer yacht has successfully sold.

The Cantiere delle Marche yacht features exterior and interior design by Cassetta, with naval architecture by HydroTec, and is scheduled for delivery in 2028.

The new 45m draws directly from the same conceptual foundations as sistership Tremenda, delivered in 2025 and widely recognized for her calm, light-filled interior and generous glazing.

As with Tremenda, the owner’s brief centers on long-term comfort rather than decorative excess. Having previously owned a CdM Nauta Air 110, the client entered the project with clear expectations around onboard livability, reliability, and atmosphere. The design team has confirmed that the owner requested a restrained interior defined by softness, warmth, and visual clarity, with those requests integrated during the design phase through close collaboration with the shipyard.

While specific materials, layouts, and finishes have not yet been released, the yacht’s gross tonnage of 464 GT mirrors Tremenda’s, indicating similarly generous interior proportions for her length. CdM has emphasized that the yacht remains fully custom, with interior decisions still progressing toward final definition.

"The decision to move up to a 45-meter platform was driven less by length alone and more by volume and flexibility. With 464 GT available, the yacht offers scope for spacious guest areas, comfortable crew circulation, and storage capacity suitable for long-range cruising, all priorities that were central to the owner’s brief."

- Giorgio M. Cassetta

The exterior design follows the same award-winning explorer yacht concept that underpinned Tremenda, refined here to suit the new owner’s preferences. Clean lines, a purposeful stance, and an uncluttered profile define the overall look, reinforcing CdM’s established explorer identity while avoiding visual heaviness.

The yacht is built around a steel displacement hull with an aluminum superstructure. She measures 45 meters in length, carries an 8.5-meter beam, and draws 2.4 meters, placing her squarely within CdM’s long-range expedition yacht category. The owner was particularly drawn to the purity of the exterior design and the sense of proportion achieved within this platform, elements that were already proven on Tremenda during extended cruising and real-world use.

"Knowing that our work has met the expectations of such discerning and experienced owners is a source of immense pride and motivation. It confirms that our yachts not only meet but consistently exceed the requirements and aspirations of even the most demanding clients, and it reinforces our daily commitment to excellence, attention to detail and the creation of truly exceptional explorer yachts: definitely the key for our success and absolute leadership in our segment of the market."

- Vasco Buonpensiere, shareholder and CEO of CdM

Several owner-requested modifications have been incorporated into the design, although CdM has not disclosed specifics. These changes were developed in direct dialogue with both the designer and shipyard, reinforcing the fully bespoke nature of the superyacht despite its conceptual lineage.

Accommodation is arranged for up to 10 guests across five cabins. While the precise layout has not been confirmed, this configuration closely reflects Tremenda’s successful arrangement, which includes a full-beam owner’s suite and well-proportioned guest cabins designed for extended stays onboard.
