Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.6m beam and a 2.55m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 464 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2022. Launched in November 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in March 2025.

Exterior Design

Tremenda is a 47m (150ft) custom explorer with a clean profile and a vertical bow that flows aft to a wide, welcoming transom.  Wide side decks run cleanly fore and aft, with a tucked port staircase by the galley giving direct crew access to the sundeck for provisioning and service.

Shaded living was a core brief, so the exterior carries deep overhangs and clever enclosures. The aft main deck can be sealed on both sides with sliding doors, turning the space into a weatherproof extension of the salon. There’s a big wraparound sunpad that blends into a sofa, alfresco dining for eight, and a full-service bar to starboard. Quick-connect deck fittings are set discreetly into the teak, allowing furniture to be secured for passage.

The sundeck is a large, versatile terrace with a proper bar served by a dumbwaiter, a sink and substantial stone worktops. A glazed central skylight filters light beneath a shaded structure that keeps the beach-club mood without darkening the deck. A day head lives up here, dining is set for six with scope to expand, and the freestanding pieces can be locked in place when underway.

Forward on the bridge deck you find fold-out wind deflectors that trim airflow at sea and a sheltered wing station with Furuno MFD, bow thruster control, shift and throttle levers, and twin rudder indicators for independently steerable rudders. Liferafts sit close to hand. The wheelhouse glazing drops unusually low, boosting sightlines down the side decks.

The foredeck has a social lounge that sits just aft of the working zone, giving the feel of a semi-Portuguese bridge with heavy, stay-put furniture. The tender handling area carries a 2.6 tonne (2.87 ton) crane and stowage for a large tender with a foldable T-top, plus space for a Sea-Doo to port and kayaks to starboard. Rails and line guides are neatly organised, bulwarks rise high for protection, and the bow shows a handsome pulpit with clear views for anchoring. Side hatches let crew lean out to check chain and anchor without losing sight of the gear.

Aft, the bridge deck terrace is set up for long meals and lazy afternoons. There’s a circular table for ten, another service bar with sink, and big carbon fibre poles that carry an extended sunshade. Loose modules can be rearranged to create separate lounging pockets or a giant daybed. Down at the water, the beach club feels like the yacht’s natural heart. Removable sunshade poles slot into the deck and clip to the superstructure, sockets at the transom take temporary safety rails when needed, and a long passerelle deploys from the stern. A wide aft settee faces the sea, and from here a door leads to the dive-centre lazarette with storage, an extra fridge, and a dedicated washer and dryer for towels and beach kit.

Interior Design

Tthe interior style on Tremenda is focused around massive windows and a calm, beach-club palette with a homely edge. The main salon sets the tone with deep sofas to port and starboard, near floor-to-ceiling glass and a curated splash of colour in the art. An interior dining area sits forward, and when the aft deck sides are closed the whole zone reads as one connected space thanks to full-height glazing in the side panels.

Up a level, the upper salon is bright and adaptable. A service pantry doubles as an elegant bar, with sink, refrigeration and a coffee setup, plus a dumbwaiter that links to the galley and sundeck. It works just as well for crewed service as it does for self-serve drinks late in the evening. There’s a day head on this deck finished in weighty stone textures, while the main deck day head contrasts with a lighter scheme but keeps the generous footprint.

The wheelhouse is compact, professional and deliberately industrial in feel, finished dark to cut reflections. There are five large displays across the console, two supplementary screens set into the dash, VHF sets, separate steering for port and starboard rudders, wiper controls, autopilot, bow thruster and a search camera controller. Furuno remotes sit alongside the main engine monitors, and the console screens fold forward for maintenance to help shed heat. A weathertight door opens onto the starboard bridge wing, and flag stowage and electrical panels are positioned at the entry. Just aft is the captain’s cabin with wardrobe, desk, ensuite and its own screens for off-watch monitoring.

The commercial galley is a stainless-clad workspace: Wolf double ovens, Sub-Zero refrigeration, a Miele dishwasher, a four-burner induction hob under a proper hood and a separate microwave oven. A pop-up service counter, wine fridge and a second dumbwaiter tie the prep areas to guest decks. Crew spaces continue the professional theme with a large, cool-running mess, an AV room, and a dedicated laundry fitted with four Miele professional machines. Provisioning volume is serious, with a walk-in freezer, an additional fridge room, a deep pantry and a pair of tall fridges originally earmarked for waste but now pressed into service for stores.

Accommodation

Tremenda offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin located in the forward section of the main deck.  The owner’s suite occupies the forward section of the main deck as a private apartment. A relaxed lounge with sofa and desk sits by a vast window, and a fixed balcony opens straight off the cabin for immediate fresh air without crew setup. The bed is king-size, the walk-in wardrobe is divided neatly for two, and the bathroom splits to port and starboard with matching vanities and natural light before meeting in a central shower room with a wide bench. The layout reads as a comfortable, lived-in space rather than a showpiece, which was exactly the intention.

Guest cabins sit on the lower deck and are unusually generous. Several suites carry king-size beds, some with hidden TVs and soundbars, and at least one adds a Pullman berth for flexible family use. Wardrobes are large and often include safes, with extra open shelving in selected cabins. Two near-identical VIPs present big showers with benches and framed glass for extra rigidity at sea. Fixtures are matte rather than shiny, with rain heads in the showers and toilets fitted with bidet functions. Other guest suites can convert to twin arrangements by sliding the beds apart, and storage is thoughtfully built in throughout.
