On Deck

Would the aft of the Sunreef 80 Power still be considered a swim platform? No, at this scale, it’s more like a huge movable deck. It’s hydraulic and large enough to carry a tender up to 5m (roughly 16.4ft) so long as you respect the weight limit. Flanking the platform are generous sugar scoops that curve around toward the sides, making it easy to step on and off whether you're in a floating dock or regular slip. The teak is protected by stainless steel chafing plates near the cleats, so dock lines don’t chew it up.

As you walk up, stern cleats and foot switches are neatly arranged, plus there's a windlass to help pull the boat in during stern-to mooring. Into the cockpit, there’s a little teak insert detail and a hydraulic garage for a full-size three-person jet ski. It drops directly into the water and is retrieved the same way, with loads of extra storage on either side for water toys or fuel cans. The main cockpit gives you a huge dining layout for up to 14 people, a small settee and a rainfall shower. There’s also an exterior day head here, which is a game-changer at this size. Handy for guests and crew alike.

Wide, sunken walkways run forward with a boarding door on port side that gives incredible access. You could dance down the deck with this much space. It’s the new Sunreef signature look. Then, up at the bow, you hit a jaw-dropping sunpad area. It’s massive. Think 10-person layout space, no one bumping elbows. And the backrests all pop up if you want to sit upright.

Underneath, there are even more surprises. Giant storage hatches go so deep that a person could stand up in them. There’s also a dual anchor setup with chain storage.

On the flybridge, things just keep getting better. This one has huge sunpads that rival the bow, a mounted life raft, and a full outdoor galley with an electric grill, sink, ice maker, trash storage, and drinks fridge. You get a large dining table and plenty of space for guests to mingle, even with the captain at the helm. A solid centreline helm station sits beneath an integrated enclosure and sunroof panels that open like levers. You’ve got VHF, dual MAN engine monitors, Raymarine displays, thruster and throttle controls, FLIR camera, autopilot, mooring and navigation light switches, and more.

And don’t miss the watertight bow door forward to a separate cockpit lounge. Private and well protected. Perfect for quieter moments.

Interior Accommodation

Sliding open the iconic Sunreef doors brings you into a beautiful space. It’s got that chic beach house vibe with tons of natural light and a layout that flows with soft, curved lines. The cocktail table and bar all echo this round-edged theme. There’s a pop-up TV, and the galley is all the way up in the main saloon.

The fridge is a split freezer/fridge, there’s a large induction cooktop, full-size oven, deep pull-out storage, dishwasher, dual sinks, organized trash and cleaning space, a sleek champagne tint across the cabinetry, and yes, a serious espresso machine. There’s also a hidden roll-out pantry and hood for the stovetop.

Further in, there’s a cozy reading nook built into the bulkhead that feels like a dreamy escape, along with skylights overhead that carry over from the 60 Sunreef Power. There's another dining table, but since Sunreef is semi-custom, you could rework this whole space however you like. More fridges line the starboard side, plus a washer-dryer unit.

Electric blinds run around the saloon for cooling things down, and the helm station forward is fully loaded for longer passages. Great visibility, large windshield wiper, bow thruster, multiple plotters (Raymarine and Furuno), autopilot, wipers, bilge and generator controls, watermaker, and full fire suppression system.

Storage is everywhere, including clever lockers integrated into the structural frames that blend with the outboard window lines. From inside, the light tones of the cabinetry and window design make it all feel like an extension of the deck.

Owner's Cabin

This is where things go next-level. You head down the portside hull to reach the full-beam master. It’s fitted with the latest big window design from Sunreef that expands the view dramatically compared to the older signature style.

There’s a full king-size bed, a large settee, dual wardrobes on either side, and storage just about everywhere. One of the lockers is so deep it runs the full length of the cabin wall.

The ensuite is equally impressive. A slanted floor helps with drainage in the walk-in shower, which is finished in gorgeous stone. There’s a separate water closet for the toilet, an extra wardrobe, deep cabinetry, and a closing door for privacy. It’s luxe, but very usable.

Guest Accommodation

There are four cabins in total, with three devoted to the guests. Two cabins mirror each other port and starboard in the forward sections of each hull, both with walk-in closets and generous ensuite heads. These showers are huge, with rain heads and built-in benches. The heads are finished in the same round-edged design language as the saloon, with integrated trash compartments and towel storage.

The midship guest cabin on the starboard side is larger, likely for older children or guests who want more space. There’s a desk, wardrobe, and even more storage tucked around. The ensuite here has more countertop space and deeper cabinetry. It’s uber spacious and beautifully detailed.

Crew Accommodation

Crew quarters for a maximum of five are located on the port side aft with their own private access. There’s a real door here, no companionway setup, plus natural light through side windows. The quarters are generously sized, with a wet head and hanging locker. Everything is fully set up for comfort and function. Even guests wandering by would be impressed with how nicely done it is.

Performance

The engine room is accessed via a massive hatch and comes with heavy sound shielding. There’s proper ventilation, a large hydraulic pump, and the full Passerelle system visible from inside. A substantial generator sits aft, and the rudder system and exhausts are all exposed for easy servicing.

Power comes from twin MAN V8-1200 diesels, paired with a V-drive setup to maximise space. The layout leaves room for movement around the engines, and there’s good access to all electrical panels and controls. A clear focus on serviceability and long-range performance.

Top speed is around 21 knots with a cruising speed of 18. With 16,000 litres of fuel on board, she’s good for about 3,000 nautical miles at efficient speeds.

Ownership Considerations

With a 12-metre beam and genuine long-range capability, the 80 Sunreef Power is built for serious passagemaking, full-time liveaboard cruising, and large-scale entertaining. It’s the kind of platform that lends itself to owners who want space, autonomy, and the flexibility to cruise for weeks at a time. The shaft-drive configuration is a solid fit for that role as it's mechanically straightforward and efficient over distance. It suits both private operations and commercial use, especially where consistency and low-hassle servicing matter.

This is a CE Category A yacht, certified to carry up to 16 people offshore, but it’s the systems layout and machinery space that really stand out. Engine access is excellent. So is the clearance around the gensets, stabilisers, and watermakers. There’s room to move, space to plan maintenance properly, and the kind of grouping that keeps things tidy behind the scenes - particularly helpful with a crew on board, but equally useful for experienced owner-operators.

Of course, an 80-foot power catamaran does come with ongoing commitments. Berthing charges reflect the beam as much as the length, and haul-outs require wide-lift facilities as not every yard can take this kind of footprint. Then there’s insurance, cleaning, routine servicing, and fuel. When the yacht is in regular use, all of it scales up.

Most owners will want to budget around 8%-12% of the yacht’s value annually to cover running costs. That includes fixed items like dockage, crew, and insurance, as well as periodic refits, tender maintenance, and day-to-day consumables. For private use with occasional crew, the upper end of that range is a good guide. Charter-focused operations may see those costs edge higher, though some of that outlay can be offset with seasonal revenue depending on usage.

Comparable options in this size and class include the solar-electric catamaran Silent 80 Flybridge and the conventionally powered Fountaine Pajot Power 80.

In Summary

Kokomo is a standout execution of the Sunreef 80 Power, blending that signature floating villa feel with sharp technical detail and easy-living comfort. The indoor-outdoor flow is nearly seamless, and everywhere you turn there's usable, thoughtful space. Whether you're sunning on one of the huge pads, prepping dinner on the flybridge, or curling up in the reading nook inside, it all feels inviting and intuitive.

If you're looking at long-range power cats with luxury accommodation, genuine liveaboard potential, and a touch of flair, Kokomo nails it. You can tell the owners spent time getting this one just right. And for anyone considering their own Sunreef, there’s plenty here to borrow from.
