The Arcadia A80new is a yacht that stops people in their tracks. There’s a real balance between the sharp, architectural shape outside and the calm, organic feel once you step aboard.

Right at the stern is the bathing platform, a large area that can lower into the water for swimming or launching a tender. There’s a garage tucked neatly beneath the deck, big enough for water toys or a small tender, though most owners will likely keep a larger one on the platform itself and use the high-low lift to launch it.

The glass transom means there’s no interruption to the sea view from the cockpit, so you can stand there and look straight out across the water. The balconies on each side fold down to create even more space, opening the whole aft deck right up. When they’re down, you can walk out and look along the hull - a brilliant bit of design.

The flybridge has the same sense of space. The helm sits ahead on a suspended-style console with Garmin displays, IPS controls, and excellent visibility. It’s a clean, uncluttered setup. Beside it is a bar area and a large table that lowers to become a daybed, and a television lifts up from the cabinetry to turn the whole deck into an outdoor lounge. The Bimini above provides shade, while aft there’s space for sunbathing with the sea view rolling away behind.

Forward, the bow is a relaxation area, where the table lowers down to form one huge sunpad when the cushions are in place. The sockets for the four poles show how you can shade the entire space with a canopy. All the anchoring gear sits ahead, tidy and easy to reach, but the main impression here is space and calm - it’s a great spot to sit quietly when the boat’s at rest.

Inside, everything changes pace. The atmosphere softens immediately - calm, flowing, and quietly elegant. The colours are muted, the lighting gentle. Curves replace straight edges, and the whole interior feels natural, almost organic.

The saloon has a relaxed, open plan. There’s a sofa area and a curved dining table that follows the same line as the furniture and the bulkhead behind it. The lighting runs along the ceiling in clean bands, and with the big sliding window open on one side and the door aft, air moves freely through the space. It feels fresh and unforced.

The details reinforce that theme, with the circular side windows, the curved wood along the bulkhead, the way the table sits in line with the sweep of the joinery. There’s no sense of formality; it’s all about comfort and ease.

Forward of the saloon is the galley. It’s a proper working area with an induction cooktop, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and plenty of storage. There’s space for everything, even when running a full crew. From here you can step directly into the crew area, which keeps service flowing neatly without crossing guest spaces.

Owner's Cabin

The main-deck owner’s cabin sits forward and feels completely calm and private. Big windows let the light pour in and make the room feel wide and open. The curved joinery, soft fabrics, and textured finishes carry on the organic theme from the saloon.

Storage sits neatly behind sliding doors, with wardrobes, drawers, and shelving built in without clutter. The ensuite lies forward, fitted with twin basins, a large shower, and the same light natural tones seen throughout the yacht. It’s a bright and peaceful space, somewhere you could easily spend quiet time even while the boat is underway.

Guest Accommodation

Down on the lower deck are the guest cabins, and there are four of them, each ensuite. The two midship cabins are twins, and the beds sit on sliding tracks so they can move together to form doubles if needed. The bathrooms are smartly fitted, each with a rainfall shower and plenty of locker space.

Further aft are the two VIP cabins, one each side. They’re larger, with full double berths, dressing areas, and wardrobes, all finished in the same soft tones and curved wood. The bathrooms match, each with a separate shower and clean, simple fittings. A Pullman berth can be added for extra capacity when required. Everything feels solid, the doors thick and the hardware heavy, giving a real sense of quality.

Crew Accommodation

The crew area sits forward of the galley, accessed directly from it, which makes perfect sense for a boat of this size. There’s a small mess area, laundry facilities, and two crew cabins, each with bunks and its own ensuite wet-room. For an 80ft yacht, having two ensuite crew cabins is a proper advantage, allowing a full-time crew of four to work comfortably.

Access to the engine space is through the aft deck or from the platform. Inside, it’s clean, bright, and well laid out. This boat is fitted with the larger engines which are the twin Volvo Penta IPS 1350s, each producing around 1,000hp. The standard option is the IPS 1200s at roughly 900hp each.

Top speed sits around 20 knots, with an easy cruising pace of 17 knots and a range of about 850 miles. Interestingly, the smaller engines only lose a knot or so at each end, showing how efficient the hull really is.

A pair of generators provide power for air-conditioning and hotel systems, and there’s a second generator plus a watermaker on the opposite side. The electrical switchboards and circuit breakers are neatly mounted across the aft bulkhead, and there’s another access point straight up to the deck, which makes life easier for the crew.

The Arcadia A80new has been built with ownership in mind. Everything about it is designed to make life aboard easy and predictable, from the IPS drives that simplify handling to the logical access around the engines for servicing. The semi-displacement hull keeps fuel use steady at cruising speed, and the integrated solar and energy-saving systems help trim running costs even further.

The builder offers a structured warranty and aftersales service through its Naples-based headquarters and partner yards across Europe, with full technical documentation and scheduled maintenance plans delivered at handover. Owners are also supported with recommended spare-parts lists, IPS service contacts, and direct factory access for updates or modifications. Given that the A80new is still a young model, it’s sensible to confirm warranty duration for the hull, superstructure and systems, but Arcadia’s reputation for ongoing support and transparency has been well established through its A-line and Sherpa ranges.

When comparing ownership profiles, two very different yachts sit alongside it on the market. The wallywhy150 is a design-led statement piece, with a triple IPS setup, carbon detailing and an interior built around geometric lines and high-speed precision. It appeals to owners who enjoy the helm as much as the living space and are prepared for the extra servicing that comes with a three-drive system and complex electronics. The Outer Reef 780 Adventure heads in the opposite direction, using a full-displacement hull, conventional shafts and a steel-reinforced structure designed for heavy weather and long passages. It’s built for owners who value mechanical simplicity and oceanic range over sculptural design.  

The Arcadia A80new feels clever and dramatic. It mixes a strong architectural shape outside with a soft, almost meditative atmosphere inside. The glass transom, the drop balconies, and the uninterrupted sightlines make the boat feel bigger than its length suggests, and everywhere you look, there’s a sense of openness and flow.
