About

Accommodation

The Sunseeker’s 9.1m beam is around 1m more than most of the competition and creates incredible space across the interior. The main deck salon is vast, with full-height glass and lots of space left around the lounge seating and forward dining area. There are massive glass doors leading to the side and decks, creating that inside-outside flow of luxury that we all want.

The upper or sky lounge enjoys nearly all of the Sunseeker’s beam, and so feels suitable palatial with space for a full bar and dining table, yet more massive glass sections delivering superb views and synergy with the outside deck.

The Sunseeker’s main deck Owner’s suite is suitable impressive with the open-plan layout enjoying two lounge areas set before two breathtakingly big windows. There is a neat study at the entrance, with the ensuite forward. A central stairwell takes you below deck for the guest accommodation with four good ensuite cabins, two twin and two VIPs, in the standard layout.

As a crew-operated yacht, you have eight berths in four bunked cabins and a good mess area and galley forward below decks. The Captain’s cabin lying of the helm station on the upper deck.

On Deck

Sunseeker’s Ocean concept is, amongst other wonderful things, about creating lavish stern waterside areas. Here that means a proper beach club, with an inner lounge leading to a fold-out terrace. The inner lounge has space for seating and a bar and the entire design is a perfect retreat day or night.

As a tri-deck design, the M42 has a full sundeck with space and luxury to the fore. The hardtop covers the central area for dining, but it’s the feature spa pool with wraparound seating that steals the show. Down one level, the upper deck aft runs off the skylounge, with space for yet more dining and lounging. From here, walk along the raised side decks to the foredeck lounge, another incredible feature that creates the perfect retreat when moored stern-to in port or a thrilling ride when at sea.

Amenities & Tenders

The tender garage lies forward of the beach club, across the beam, cutting down the amount of hull length eaten up while delivering slick easy launch & recovery.

Performance & Capabilities

The Sunseeker’s semi-displacement hull will hit 23 knots powered by twin MTU 1950hp engines, with a useful 3200nm range at 12knots from 30,000lt (6,600gal) fuel tanks.

Taking the builders’ own figures, the M42 has a fast cruising speed of 20knots, which is higher than the maximum speed of most yachts of this size. Perhaps more importantly, at 12knots, its eco-speed, the Sunseeker is comparatively efficient at 112l/h.

From The Manufacturer

Radical, practical, and beautiful. Words not misplaced in describing the Ocean Club 42. A collection of firsts, it represents a thrilling departure from all that is expected. A new design philosophy makes possible Sunseeker’s first-ever vertical bow and a completely reimagined upper ‘Sky Lounge’ deck to create a pampering luxury experience other yachts can only aspire to.

This radical model has been designed with a dramatic new round-bilge semi-displacement hull form, paving the way for a completely new design philosophy for the next generation of Sunseeker yachts. The new Ocean Club 42, part of the new Ocean Club series, is the first-ever Sunseeker with a vertical bow and with a beam of 31’, contains 27 percent more interior volume than its sistership, the 131 Yacht. Remarkably, she offers just 15% less volume than the previous flagship 155 Yacht and with a gross tonnage of 448GT, she is available with MTU 16V engines with up to 2,636PS for a maximum top speed of 24kts or efficient displacement cruising over distances of as much as 3,500nm. MTU’s Hybrid system can now also be specified for the first time with their smaller 12V engines to deliver a multitude of scenarios from improving range still further to allowing zero emissions whilst cruising or anchoring.

The new Ocean Club 42 is part of a major new product development plan announced by Sunseeker’s CEO, Andrea Frabetti and she will be ready to launch in 2021. Sunseeker has designed the 133 Yacht with discerning clientele in mind. It understands that customers are spending more time on board, both at sea and at anchor, with increased comfort and the quality of life on board of supreme importance. The new 133 Yacht will benefit from reduced noise, more usable space and the latest technology including SCR systems, future-proofing against upcoming changes to emission regulations.

The aft deck entertainment area is fully integrated into the overall design, merging seamlessly with the vast saloon due to its fully-flush floor. In addition, the transition between the two spaces is replicated overhead thanks to the linear detail of the ceiling panels. A central bar unit sits just aft of the saloon, fully opened to the outdoors via invisible bi-fold doors on either side and an electrically lowering central glass panel. Entertaining in style across such considerable interior and exterior decks just got a lot more interesting.
