De Antonio Yachts History & Heritage

De Antonio Yachts began in Barcelona in 2012 with an idea to clear the stern and rethink the modern day boat.

The company was founded by Marc de Antonio and Stan Chmielewski after the two met in Barcelona while studying design. Marc, born in Barcelona, grew up around art, design, and the sea and had already established his own studio, Ubica-id, in 2006. That studio continues to design every De Antonio model today. Stan Chmielewsk, born in Switzerland, brought a long-standing interest in motor yachts and moved to Barcelona in 2011. From the start, responsibilities were clearly split, with Marc leading design, production, and technical development, and Stan driving the commercial side and international growth.

De Antonio Yachts launched its first model, the D23 Open, which set the template for the brand with straight lines, space-led layouts, and practical deck solutions. New versions followed in 2015, and within four years, the yard introduced eight models across four size classes, while keeping a consistent design language based on minimal forms and efficient use of space. As demand grew, production expanded beyond Spain to include facilities in Poland, allowing higher output while keeping design and development anchored in Barcelona.
