Astera is a 40.93m motor yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Baglietto in 2024. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Studio Vafiadis, while Baglietto is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Two-level beach club pool
  • Full-height saloon glazing
  • Lift-floor infinity pool system
  • Upper deck private balconies

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.7m beam and a 2.16m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 410 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the fourth yacht built on the DOM133 design. Launched in March 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Astera is a 40.6m (133ft) Baglietto DOM133, and the exterior follows Studio Vafiadis’ sharp, architectural approach. The aluminium hull and superstructure keep weight under control, while the near-plumb bow increases usable internal volume as well as giving the yacht a modern stance. The white topsides contrast with dark glazing and hull detailing, so the profile reads clean but still carries depth.

The side profile uses long, low glazing lines and cutaway sections in the bulwarks, and these details break up the mass while also opening views from inside. The double window shapes along the hull add a distinctive visual signature, while full-height glazing on the main deck pushes light deep into the interior.

A key feature sits aft, where the two-level beach club forms the centre of the lower deck. An infinity pool with a lifting floor changes the space depending on use, so it can work as a pool, a lounge, or a flush deck area. Twin staircases connect this space to the main deck above, while fold-out terraces extend the footprint at water level.

Above, the sundeck carries a jacuzzi, bar and open lounge areas, while the upper deck includes balcony openings created by sliding window-doors. These open sections bring air and light into the skylounge, so the connection between inside and outside stays constant. Forward, the bow is kept clean and usable, with space for seating and sunpads.

Interior Design

Inside, Astera follows a custom layout developed with Studio Vafiadis, and the focus stays on light and visibility. Full-height glazing on the port side of the main saloon changes how the space feels, as it removes the usual visual barrier and opens the room directly to the sea.

The saloon itself combines lounge and dining zones, and the arrangement supports both relaxed use and formal hosting. The skylounge above adds another social area, and here the sliding window-doors lead out to private balconies, which is a rare feature on this platform.

Accommodation

Superyacht Astera accommodates up to 10 guests across five suites, including a main deck owner’s cabin and four double cabins below. She also carries up to 9 crew, along with additional space for up to 9 staff or security, so operations can scale depending on use.

The owner’s suite benefits from the main deck position and large glazing, so it has direct light and views. The four guest cabins sit on the lower deck, each with en suite facilities and a consistent design approach that matches the rest of the yacht.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 1,800hp engines, motor yacht Astera is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 35,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,500 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots.
