The 45m expedition yacht CdM 45m / 02 is being constructed by Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche and is due to be delivered in 2028. Her exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Giorgio Cassetta, while HydroTec is responsible for her naval architecture.
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.5m beam and a 2.4m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 464 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
CdM 45m / 02 follows the Giorgio M. Cassetta concept first seen on Tremenda, with a focus on clean lines and balanced proportions.
The profile shows a near-vertical bow with a long, straight foredeck and high bulwarks, reinforcing the explorer stance and adding usable forward deck space. The superstructure is stepped across multiple levels, with deep overhangs that provide shade to the decks below.
Full-height glazing dominates the main and upper deck saloons, with a continuous dark glass band running almost the full length of the superstructure. This contrasts with the white structure and visually lowers the profile. The aft section appears arranged across layered terraces, with a sheltered upper deck and an open main deck aft that leads down toward the swim platform.
Interior Design
Cassetta is responsible for both exterior and interior design, and the brief centres on a calm, light-filled atmosphere. The intention is to create warmth and softness within a robust explorer framework, with natural light and proportion guiding the layout.
