Design & Construction

Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.81m beam and a 2.29m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 170 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Freya is a Ferretti Yachts 1000, a model defined by long flowing lines, extensive glazing, and a surprisingly lean profile for a yacht with this much internal volume.

Filippo Salvetti’s exterior design combines the yacht’s substantial internal volume with a profile that still feels lean and fast from almost every angle. The long foredeck, pointed bow, and tapered aft sections give the yacht a forward-driving stance, while the dark glazing bands visually lower the superstructure against the hull.

The side profile is dominated by expansive black glass sections that run nearly uninterrupted from bow to stern. These elongated window lines pull natural light deep into the interior while also helping break up the yacht’s height. Around the main deck aft, the glazing blends into the side structures and terrace sections, creating a much more open connection with the sea than older enclosed flybridge yachts.

The flybridge structure itself has a very light appearance thanks to the use of carbon fibre within the hardtop and upper deck construction. That reduced visual mass helps the yacht avoid the bulky upper profile often seen on high-volume 30m-plus yachts. From the side, the upper deck wing sections arch outward in one clean sweep and visually tie the bridge, flybridge, and aft entertaining areas together.

Outdoor living is spread across several deck levels. The aft cockpit works as the main social hub close to the water, while the foredeck creates a quieter lounge space with sunpads and forward-facing seating. Above, the flybridge stretches almost the full beam of the yacht and provides dining, lounging, helm controls, and shaded relaxation space beneath the hardtop.

At the stern, the hydraulic swim platform extends the beach club area directly onto the water. Wide teak surfaces and low-level boarding access make the entire aft section feel open and usable for swimming, tender operations, or relaxed days at anchor.

Interior Design

Freya’s interior follows the same contemporary direction as the exterior, with clean architectural lines, muted tones, and strong use of natural light throughout. Large panes of glazing turn the main saloon into a bright open-plan living space, while the low furniture profile keeps sightlines clear across the room and out toward the sea.

The main saloon uses a wide-body layout, so the seating arrangement stretches comfortably across the beam. Sliding glass doors connect directly to the aft deck and reinforce the terrace-like feel of the interior spaces. Nearby dining areas maintain the same understated style, with integrated lighting and minimal visual clutter helping the yacht feel larger than her length suggests.

Bathrooms throughout the yacht continue the modern Italian approach seen elsewhere on board. Veined marble surfaces, floating vanity units, mirrored wall panels, and recessed lighting create a sharp, contemporary finish. The detailing feels crisp and engineered rather than decorative.

The owner’s areas in particular lean into comfort and simplicity. Vertical timber panels, soft indirect lighting, oversized hull windows, and carefully concealed storage help the spaces feel calm and private. The overall effect is less formal than many traditional superyachts and closer to a modern luxury apartment overlooking the sea.

Accommodation

Freya offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck and 4 double cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M96L) 16-cylinder 2,186hp engines running at 2450rpm, motor yacht Freya is capable of reaching a top speed of 28 knots, and comfortably cruises at 24 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
