Latest 27m Sunreef Ultima 88 Catamaran Launched

Sunreef Yachts has celebrated the launch of another luxury power catamaran, with the latest yacht entering the water at the builder's Ras Al Khaimah shipyard in the UAE.

The latest Sunreef Yachts Ultima 88 is the newest example of Sunreef Yachts' flagship power catamaran model. Designed entirely in-house, the 27m yacht features a GRP hull and superstructure with accommodation for up to 10 guests across five cabins and performance of up to 35 knots.

A new approach to luxury motor yacht design

The Ultima 88 has been developed to deliver the driving characteristics of a monohull with the space and stability of a multihull. A sleek, low-profile silhouette, shallow draft and advanced hull design are intended to reduce drag while improving efficiency, allowing the yacht to access marinas, secluded anchorages and shallow cruising grounds with ease.

Outdoor spaces centred around the ocean

The model places a strong emphasis on outdoor living, with fold-down bulwark platforms and an aft garage creating Sunreef's ocean lounge at water level. Expansive deck areas onboard the new yacht provide multiple spaces for dining, relaxing and entertaining, while the beach club configuration is designed to accommodate a selection of electric water toys and offer seamless access to the sea.

Sustainable interiors with owner flexibility

The motor yacht features custom light-filled interiors finished with sustainable materials including responsibly sourced woods, recycled plastics and reclaimed fabrics. Accommodation is available for up to 10 guests across a maximum of five cabins, while large windows maximise natural light throughout the living spaces, reducing the need for artificial lighting and maintaining uninterrupted views of the surrounding water.

Hybrid technology meets efficient performance

The Ultima 88 incorporates Sunreef's latest sustainability technologies, including hybrid propulsion, custom-engineered battery systems and the builder's solar skin technology. Twin Volvo Penta D13-IPS1050 engines deliver a top speed of 26 knots, while the lightweight composite construction and efficient hull form are designed to minimise energy consumption without compromising performance.

Award-winning design expands the Ultima range

The Ultima 88 received the Concept (Under 40m) award at the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2026 and continues to form the centrepiece of Sunreef's Ultima range. Alongside the 88, the range also includes the Ultima 55, while the Ultima 44, Ultima 66 and Ultima 77 are currently in development. Together, the range reflects the builder's vision of combining monohull-inspired styling with the volume, stability and efficiency of a power catamaran.
