Perla Lunar is a 58.25m motor yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo in 2025. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Zuccon International Project, while Sanlorenzo is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.25m beam and a 2.8m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,165 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in November 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in November 2025.

Exterior Design

Perla Lunar is the first yacht in Sanlorenzo's new 58Steel series and it's a clear step on from the 57Steel rather than a simple length increase. At 58.25m (191ft), the platform grows by just over a metre, but the beam expands to 11.25m (36.9ft) and the entire naval architecture has been reworked around a diesel-electric propulsion system. This is now a yacht with the internal volume of many 64m (210ft) projects while remaining below the 2,000GT threshold that has become such an important benchmark for large custom yachts.

Zuccon International Project retains the restrained architectural language that has defined Sanlorenzo's steel fleet, although the proportions have changed noticeably. The wider beam gives the yacht greater visual presence without making the profile appear heavy, while long horizontal glazing and carefully layered decks break up the superstructure into clean, balanced forms. Rather than relying on sculpted surfaces or dramatic styling features, the design uses proportion, shadow and glass to create depth. The one-metre extension to the bridge deck also stretches the profile, giving the yacht a longer, more settled stance than the 57Steel.

The owner's private deck sits high above the rest of the yacht with uninterrupted glazing, its own forward plunge pool and generous terraces aft. Below, the bridge deck provides another substantial entertainment area, while the main deck centres around an aft infinity pool that forms the visual link between the interior lounge and the sea beyond.

The stern remains one of the defining features of Sanlorenzo's Steel series. Twin staircases descend around the main deck pool to a beach club that opens on three sides, transforming the transom into a broad waterside terrace. The pool itself also acts as a glazed skylight, bringing natural light into the beach club below. Rather than treating the beach club as a separate room beneath the aft deck, Sanlorenzo integrates it into the yacht's architecture so the different levels remain visually connected.

Beyond the styling changes, much of the exterior layout stems directly from the engineering package. Replacing a conventional multi-deck engine room with a compact single-deck machinery space freed more than 40m² (431ft²) for guest areas and the beach club. That decision shapes the yacht as much as its exterior styling, allowing Perla Lunar to deliver the accommodation and leisure spaces normally associated with considerably larger yachts.

Interior Design

Sanlorenzo's in-house Style Department developed an interior that follows the yard's made-to-measure philosophy rather than a fixed design package. Dark timber, Calacatta Borghini marble, mother-of-pearl details and champagne-toned metallic finishes create a warm palette that avoids the bright, minimalist schemes often found aboard contemporary superyachts.

The main saloon sits directly alongside the aft infinity pool, with full-height glazing removing much of the visual barrier between inside and outside. Rather than treating the pool as an isolated deck feature, it becomes part of the main living space, while broad glazing keeps the horizon in view from almost every seating area.

The owner's deck forms a private residence above the guest accommodation. The suite occupies the forward section beneath panoramic glazing and looks across its own private pool, while a dedicated office, dressing room and spa-inspired bathroom complete the owner's quarters. A separate lounge aft converts into a private cinema, giving the deck the flexibility to operate either as an entirely private retreat or as part of a charter layout.

Throughout the yacht, the revised machinery arrangement has a direct influence on the interior. By concentrating the propulsion system onto a single machinery deck, Sanlorenzo gained over 40m² (431ft²) of additional living space, allowing larger guest cabins, more generous circulation areas and an expanded beach club without increasing the yacht's overall length significantly.

Accommodation

Perla Lunar offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin and 3 VIP cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 11 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Motor yacht Perla Lunar is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 80,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 11 knots.

The diesel-electric propulsion system also contributes to the onboard experience. Five 425kW variable-speed generators work with a 1MWh battery bank and twin 850kW electric azimuth pods, allowing up to two hours of silent electric cruising and as much as eight hours of zero-emission hotel operation at anchor. Beyond lower emissions, the pod drives reduce vibration and mechanical noise while improving manoeuvrability.

Perla Lunar is the first yacht in the builder's steel range designed from the outset around diesel-electric propulsion, making the 58Steel the template for the next generation of Sanlorenzo's large custom steel yachts.

Leisure & Entertainment

Perla Lunar distributes guest spaces across every deck rather than concentrating entertainment around the aft cockpit. The main deck infinity pool forms the centrepiece of the social areas, while the bridge deck provides another large outdoor lounge with elevated views.

The beach club expands across three sides of the hull once the fold-down platforms are deployed, creating a large waterside terrace for swimming, relaxation and watersports. Twin staircases connect the different levels, while the pool above doubles as a glazed skylight that fills the beach club with daylight.

The owner's private lounge converts into a cinema, giving the yacht another entertainment venue without compromising guest accommodation elsewhere on board.

Wellness

Wellness plays a larger role aboard Perla Lunar than on previous Steel models. The three-sided beach club incorporates a hammam, gym, beauty salon and bar, creating a dedicated spa complex at the water's edge rather than dispersing these facilities throughout the yacht.
