Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement aluminium hull and a GRP superstructure she features a 9.7m beam and a 7.4m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 272 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
The 42.3m (138.9ft) Turquoise Yachts Wildcat is a performance-driven sailing yacht with a low, stretched profile, and it keeps the visual weight close to the water. The aluminium hull pairs with a carbon fibre superstructure, and that combination reduces mass above deck while maintaining strength below.
A single Panamax carbon mast rises to around 62.5m (205ft), and it dominates the silhouette while supporting a total sail area of 2,204sqm (23,724sqft). The rig is clean and minimal, and the dark sails contrast against the pale hull, so the yacht reads as a pure sailing machine even at rest.
The deck layout is kept deliberately uncluttered. A retractable dining table sits forward of the mast, and it disappears flush into the deck when not in use, while a bimini can be deployed to create shade. Aft, the cockpit forms the main social zone with twin C-shaped settees facing inward, positioned under the protection of the deckhouse overhang.
Twin helm stations sit aft, and just beyond them a raised sunbed area leads down to the stern. The transom folds open to create a swim platform at water level, and it gives direct access to the sea as well as space for lounging. A side shell door conceals the tender garage, which stores a 5.5m (18ft) tender launched via crane.
The lifting keel supports performance under sail, while the clean deck and flush fittings maintain clear movement fore and aft.
Interior Design
The interior by GCA Architects follows a modern, restrained approach, and it focuses on light and openness. Large hull windows and overhead skylights draw daylight deep into the main salon, and they give the space a near 360° connection to the surroundings.
The main salon is arranged with two opposing sofas, and it sits beneath the deckhouse glazing, so views remain uninterrupted whether seated or moving through the space. Materials are kept contemporary, and the finish avoids heavy detailing in favour of a lighter, more relaxed feel suited to time at sea.
Below deck, a dedicated TV lounge adds a second interior living space, and it provides a quieter setting away from the main deck. The overall layout supports both social time and privacy, and it reflects the dual role of the yacht as a performer and a cruising platform.
Accommodation
Wildcat accommodates up to eight guests across four cabins.
The full-beam owner’s suite forms the main private space, while a VIP cabin and two twin cabins complete the guest layout. Each cabin includes its own en suite bathroom, and the arrangement keeps circulation simple and direct.
Crew accommodation is arranged for seven across four cabins, including a captain’s cabin, and it supports efficient operation without intruding into guest areas.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 1 x diesel Cummins (QSM11) 600hp engines, motor yacht Wildcat is capable of reaching a top speed of 12 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 19,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,200 nautical miles at 10 knots.
