Developed with Swiss studio Valentin Design for the exterior and Aberton Yachts for naval architecture, the 399GT steel-and-aluminum superyacht is aimed at owners seeking long-range capability within a less utilitarian, more motor-yacht-led profile.
Available to order and due to be presented as a project at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026, the Bering 130 introduces a four-deck arrangement, flexible private and charter layouts, an owner’s deck option and a claimed range of more than 4,500 nautical miles at 10 knots.
What Does Bering Mean by a Vector Yacht?
Bering is using “Vector Yacht” as its own name for a new approach within its range rather than an established technical classification. The idea starts with the working requirements normally associated with an explorer yacht - steel construction, long range, storage, stability and prolonged operation away from shore support - while the profile adopts the curved lines and larger glazed areas more commonly seen on contemporary motor yachts.
Valentin Design has kept the B130’s exterior relatively restrained, without relying on the angular superstructure or overtly workboat-like appearance often associated with expedition yachts. The underlying platform remains a full-displacement design intended for extended passages.

At 39.76m overall, the B130 has an 8m beam, 2.55m maximum draft and 420-tonne full-load displacement. Gross tonnage is listed at 399GT, keeping the yacht just below the 400GT mark while providing four decks of accommodation and guest space.
Inside the B130’s Asymmetric Four-Deck Layout
Bering has used an asymmetric main-deck arrangement, removing the conventional starboard side deck beside the salon to release more width for the interior. The result is a squarer main living area, with circulation redirected through the yacht rather than maintained on both exterior sides.
A main-deck VIP suite adds another unusual feature for a motor yacht of this length, with its own private balcony. Bering is offering different accommodation plans according to intended use. The current model specification describes a private configuration with four guest staterooms plus a dedicated owner’s deck and a crew of seven. A charter-oriented arrangement raises guest accommodation to six staterooms and provides for up to nine crew.
Overall capacity is listed at 10 to 12 guests, with seven to nine crew, giving buyers scope to prioritize private owner space, additional guest cabins or commercial operation.
Full-Beam Master Suite Moves to a Private Owner’s Deck
Owners choosing the dedicated deck gain a full-beam master suite away from the principal guest accommodation. The plan also provides a separate study or lounge, private pantry and direct access to outdoor areas, including an aft terrace with a Jacuzzi. A dumbwaiter supports service between decks without requiring crew to pass repeatedly through the owner’s private spaces.
The arrangement moves the owner’s suite away from the forward main-deck position commonly used on superyachts of this size. The VIP cabin and balcony can occupy that area instead, while the owner receives a more isolated deck with greater access to exterior space.
Crew accommodation and storage have been planned for longer periods at sea. Bering also specifies substantial cold storage, refrigerator and freezer capacity for voyages where regular resupply may not be practical.
Beach Club and Fold-Down Terraces Add Waterside Space
The stern is centered on a large beach club with a pool, supported by hydraulic fold-down terraces that increase the usable area at anchor. The setup gives the B130 a more leisure-focused stern than the working aft decks often associated with long-range explorers.
Tender carrying remains part of the operational brief, with capacity listed for a 5.6m tender. Exterior areas extend across all four decks, including private spaces linked to the owner’s deck and larger social zones for guest use.
Large windows and curved surfaces soften the upper decks, while the steel hull and practical deck planning retain the long-distance focus below.
Bering 130 Targets 4,500+ Nautical Miles
The current technical specification gives the Bering 130 a cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum speed of 14 knots at half load. Range is stated at more than 4,500 nautical miles at 10 knots, supported by 56,550 liters of fuel and 9,100 liters of fresh water.
The Bering 130 joins the shipyard’s Superyacht Division below the 49.4m Bering 165, which Bering says has attracted strong interest in 2026, with two hulls already under construction. Bering and Valentin Design will present the B130 project at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show at Port Hercule from September 23-26, giving prospective buyers the opportunity to review its layouts, specifications and customization options before construction begins.
