Presented during Ferretti Group's press conference on the opening day of Cannes on September 8, the Itama 80 is scheduled to launch in 2027 and is expected to appear at the Cannes Yachting Festival that year.
First Look at the New Itama 80
The first imagery offers an initial indication of the direction Itama is taking with the new yacht. The profile remains distinctly low and elongated, with a dark hull, a long foredeck and the prominent white hull stripe closely associated with the brand.
A large sunpad occupies the foredeck ahead of a sweeping glazed windshield, while the central helm and guest area sits beneath a substantial roof structure. Farther aft, the images indicate an open cockpit with seating and dining space before a large sunpad and broad stern platform.
Large sections of dark hullside glazing also feature in the profile of the motor yacht. At this stage, however, Itama has not explained the internal arrangement behind those windows or released any lower-deck imagery.
An exact length has not been published; however, the 80 designation suggests a move beyond the recently launched Itama 70.
Itama 70 Makes Its World Premiere at Cannes 2026
The announcement comes as the Itama 70 makes its world premiere at Cannes, providing a much clearer picture of the brand's current range renewal.
Launched in Italy in May 2026, the 21m open yacht was developed by Ferretti Group's Strategic Product Committee and Engineering Department, with exterior design by Vallicelli Design and interiors by IdeaeItalia. The lower deck provides three en suite cabins, while the exterior layout centers on a large cockpit, foredeck sunpad and movable stern area capable of handling a 3.25m tender.
Itama describes the 70 as the second model in its ongoing range renewal. Current published figures give the optional twin 1,550 mhp MAN V12 installation a maximum speed of 39 knots and a 35-knot cruising speed.
The newly announced 80 now gives that renewal another future model, although Itama has yet to disclose how much of the 70's design approach, engineering or onboard arrangement will carry forward.
What Else Did Ferretti Group Reveal at Cannes 2026?
The Itama 80 was not the only future project discussed during Ferretti Group's Cannes presentation. Ferretti Yachts also revealed the INFYNITO 100, the largest model yet announced for its explorer-inspired INFYNITO family and another yacht scheduled to launch in 2027. It will sit above the existing INFYNITO 80 and INFYNITO 90.
Visitors to Cannes can meanwhile see several important recent Ferretti Group models in the water. The Itama 70 and Pershing GTX90 are listed by the Group as world premieres at the 2026 show. The 27.97m GTX90 launched in July and accommodates eight guests across four cabins, with twin MAN V12 engines and waterjet propulsion.
The Ferretti Yachts 720 is also attending Cannes. Measuring 22.5m, the redesigned flybridge yacht features exterior design by Filippo Salvetti and interiors by IdeaeItalia, having first premiered at boot Düsseldorf earlier in 2026.
