Seventh Baglietto T52 Superyacht Moneikos on Sea Trials

The 52m superyacht Moneikos is now is now undergoing sea trials off the northern Tuscan coast near Marina di Carrara.

As the seventh hull in the Baglietto T52 Series, Moneikos was built at the shipyard’s La Spezia facility and is the latest expression of the brand’s evolving T-Line. The sea trials follows a successful launch attended by Royal Yacht International’s Manuele Thiella and Tommaso Chiabra, who represented the owner throughout the build.

The yacht features the signature T52 profile by Francesco Paszkowski, who also collaborated with Margherita Casprini on the interior. Her lines are clean and contemporary, with a sporty edge balanced by the volume of a displacement hull and carefully detailed surfaces.

Built just under the 500GT threshold, Moneikos accommodates 12 guests across six cabins, supported by a crew of nine. The interior is described as chic and modern, maintaining the refined but understated approach seen across the T52 series.

Onboard Features: Outdoor Living and Entertaining

Key to the T52’s concept is its strong connection to outdoor living. A three-level beach club at the stern places guests close to the water, while the main deck pool features a height-adjustable floor, allowing the space to transform into a larger entertaining area when the pool is not in use.

Up top of the motor yacht, the 24-meter sundeck includes a second pool and ample space for al fresco dining, sunbathing, or simply enjoying the open views. On the upper deck, floor-to-ceiling windows slide back on three sides to create a weatherproof indoor-outdoor lounge. A retractable staircase connects this space to the forward lounge beneath the bimini.

Hybrid-Ready Performance

Moneikos is powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, giving her a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots. She is also fitted with a hybrid-ready system that includes a high-capacity battery bank. While she still runs on traditional propulsion, the setup supports quieter and more efficient operation and lays the foundation for future upgrades to lower-emission cruising.

The T52 Series So Far

Baglietto’s T52 line continues to gain traction. Akula, delivered in 2024 and shown at the Monaco Yacht Show, made an impression with its spacious layout and interior by Casprini. Infinity, also handed over last year, paired a versatile deck plan with a striking aesthetic and three-level beach club.
