On Deck

The Aquila 46 Coupé builds on the layout of the 42 Coupé with a significantly larger footprint. The transom includes a central, full-depth swim ladder and a dedicated crane setup for launching a Sea-Doo Spark or small tender. The davit crane extends outward, mounted on integrated shock mounts.

The aft deck features fixed seating for eight with a transom shower and quick-connect flush points for engine maintenance. Twin transom doors add protection to the cockpit area, while the open splash wall keeps the aft space accessible. A substantial dry storage compartment lies under the aft deck, housing the hydraulic pump for the davit crane, the water heater, and tankage, with enough headroom to step inside. There are dedicated boarding doors to port and starboard.

Forward on the deck, the bow offers seating with a drainable storage compartment, wireless charging pads, integrated cup holders, and speakers tucked into weather-protected areas. A pop-up table and ample deck space allow it to be used as a social area, with structural fittings for an optional sunshade. The anchor bridle feeds through a central opening in the forward deck, with the windlass and storage compartments flanking either side, suitable for fenders and dock lines.

The hardtop includes grab rails along the side deck for safe forward access, as well as mounts for navigation equipment such as radar, FLIR camera, GPS sensors, and antennas. There's an option to cover the top in solar panels and spec the boat with a lithium-ion battery package for extended off-grid use.

An outdoor galley module includes a Kenyon Signature Line barbecue with a built-in handle light, a drinks fridge, pop-up counter extensions on both sides, and three fixed stools on the port side. A flip-up bar window links the galley to the cockpit, expanding the entertainment space.

Interior Accommodation

Inside, the single-level interior is very spacious. An oversized dinette to starboard features a large electric pop-up table that drops flush with the deck to form a lounging space or additional berth. The setup includes built-in cup holders, wireless charging pads, plush fabrics, and a full-width privacy curtain behind the sliding aft door. The TV is positioned for visibility from the saloon and bar stools.

The galley, located to port, includes a two-burner induction cooktop, sink, microwave (which can be hidden), refrigerator, freezer, and extensive storage. Notable touches include a large Lazy Susan in the corner cabinet and deep drawers throughout. A window positioned aft of the galley can be opened for ventilation while cooking.

The helm features three individual seats with bolster functions - two together and one separate for the helm - alongside dedicated footrests, air-conditioning vents, and grab handles. Visibility is excellent through the large wraparound windows and an (optionally electric) opening hardtop. Helm controls include a bow thruster, Mercury joystick for the twin outboards, wireless charging pad, shift and throttle control, and an integrated touchscreen system with programmable buttons. The screen can manage systems like lighting, horn, navigation lights, and entertainment. There are also flush-mounted Raymarine screens, C-Zone yacht management controls, Zipwake trim tabs, a searchlight, analog compass, and flush-fit audio speakers.

A central carbon-fiber electric hatch leads directly to the bow from the saloon, so you can walk all the way through the 46.

Owner Cabin

Located in the starboard hull, the owner’s suite benefits from a Euro king-size bed set athwartships, maximising the hull width. It includes substantial hanging lockers, drawers, large nightstands, and upper storage. There’s room for a compact washer-dryer unit if required.

Natural light flows through the oversized hull window, equipped with manual blinds. Additional features include integrated fans, mosquito screens, air conditioning, and a porthole. The en suite includes a full standing shower for two, a freshwater toilet, storage cabinets, and carbon fiber accents.

Guest Accommodation

The port hull houses the VIP guest cabin with a queen-size berth (aft-facing), large windows, wireless charging, reading fans, and excellent headroom. Built-in drawers and a hanging locker provide ample storage. A sliding privacy screen allows the space to remain open or enclosed as needed.

The en suite includes a spacious walk-in shower, vanity, freshwater toilet, and carbon-fiber details, with natural ventilation via portholes and air conditioning throughout.

Performance

The Aquila 46 Coupé is powered by twin 600 hp Mercury V12 outboards, replacing the smaller 400s found on the 42 Coupé. The outboard configuration opens up extensive dry storage beneath the aft deck, otherwise occupied by inboard engines.

The hull design is a double-stepped, semi-planing form, optimised for offshore handling and stability. It incorporates Aquila’s Hydro Glide carbon-fiber semi-foiling system - an underwater wing between the hulls that lifts the boat at speed, reducing drag and improving fuel economy. A secondary foil mounted aft adds further lift and balance. The result is enhanced performance, smoother running, and reduced fuel burn.

Joystick controls and a bow thruster make close-quarters handling intuitive, while the integrated digital switching and system monitoring (via C-Zone and touchscreen helm interface) bring large-yacht tech into a manageable footprint. The vessel is available with either the outboards or inboard Volvo Penta diesel propulsion.

In Summary

The Aquila 46 Coupé takes the successful layout of the 42 and enlarges it into a more liveable, more capable platform. With wide side decks, easy boarding, and expansive bow and aft areas, it suits both day cruising and longer stays aboard. The upgraded propulsion and semi-foiling hull deliver performance and efficiency, while the layout inside offers genuine comfort with two large en suite cabins, a versatile saloon, and a full-feature galley. Options for solar and lithium systems enhance its off-grid potential, making it a capable, owner-friendly cruiser with big-yacht features in a manageable 14m footprint.
